Ordered a wedding cake for my daughters wedding for 12/19/of us went to her shop had a taste testAll was wonderfulAlso loved her samples we seen at a bridal expoWe ordered a tier cakeShowed her numerous times various pictures of what we wantedAll had different aspects of things we likedMy husband told her he wanted tons of roses babys breath and berries and bling on all the tiersshe charged some on check for the cake after husband wanted the extra flowers he paid out of pocket extra which she said she would give a recipet and mail it but didntShe also said we would have the mirrored cake stand we didnt get that was a silver cake stand which I wouldnt give back until she refunded some of the cost and she didnt And price tag on bottom said micheals $and she told us it was $She asked us to send her threw text a picture of the cake we would like tier wise and color flowers to get an idea of what we wanted .we sent it to her while we were all in her shop but also told her the flowers, bling, babybreath, berries all the way around the cakeWhich she wrote on her padBut her daughter was bothering her also at the time so who knows what she did write downThe original cake my daughter wanted we showed her was A fondant cake after robin told us that we changed our minds to the cake we picked so there wouldnt be no fondantwe changed to the tier and told her numerous times no fondant on the new cake we picked out that day in the shopMy daughter is allergic to fondant also and no one we know likes that taste of the gummy textureShe assured us the cake we picked she would be able to do with frosting since it was a simplie tier and no wierd frosted design to itNumerous timesDay of wedding we get to the reception cake was pretty but not what we orderedYes tiers but very few flowers had some scatted on the side going upward not around each layerAlso it was FONDANT! !!!!! The bride and groom made the best of the situation what can you do at pm on your wedding day when you first see it?
Cake cutting timeThe bride and groom couldnt cut the cake was to thick and hardSomeone gave them a different knife to cut it withPicture time where you feed each other cake the cake didnt even smear when feeding each other it was like thick puttyThe fondant was a inch and half thick we had a carpenter measure itWe had two long tabels full of cut cake paid over 1,and after a few guest tried it including me which I tried every layer to see if any was salvageable word spread on how it was .the batter part was dried out on every layer and very hard like it was made weeks before and put in a freezer than you had to deal with the thick fondant of chewing gumNeedless to say again no one touched the cakeAlso the venue manager told robin the next day how much cake we had and how dried up it wasI took what we could dumped it in a box .yes dumped to take home to feed to our pigs on the farm .I figured I paid for it mise well maybe something would eat itGuess whatI was wrong my pigs that eat anything and I mean anything would not touch her cake thats how pathetic it wasI had her silver cake stand .I called her up where she started yelling at me and wanted her $dollar stand back that she said was $Needless to say worst experience of a wedding day and ruined my daughters dayTo this day people ask me where we got that cake from so they dont order from thereApparently she cannot handle weddingsAlso if anyone needs more reviews we have people to verify this on the taste and quality of the cake.we would be more than happy to provide you with names and numbers to talk to our guest
