After speaking with Mr *** on 6/28/rgarding his issue complaint, I spoke with the two packers for his load At the time they were loading his truck, the packers only had a few blankets left that the customer had for the load They were unsure if there was going to be a need for
the other blankets at the second half of the load The packer that used the items said he spoke with the customer and asked if he could use some items to help cushion the load for the trip to Ohio It was approved to protect the furniture and the packers continued their job After discussing the issue with Mr *** on 7/12/16, our owner offered a credit to his bill in the amount of $to his credit card for his inconvenience and apologized The customer accepted and the credit was performed on 7/12/
As a side note: (attached) The customer signed our contract that we were only responsible for cents per pound for any damage due to our packing Because the weight of the products damaged being so light, and our attempt to make our customers satisfied with our services, we offered a refund of $50.00, which he accepted on 7/12/ Please see the attached and signed contract on the lower left portion of his contract as well as a copy of his refund of $

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2014/10/22) */

RE: Cast #[redacted]: [redacted]

Thank you for notifying us of the complaint from Ms...

[redacted]. There was no mention of any damaged items at the time of the move or on the customer survey. Enclosed is a copy of the Bill of Lading and the Customer Satisfaction survey which Ms. [redacted] has signed and acknowledged that her overall move experience was "excellent" and "good" with our company on 4/24/14.
We have had many conversations with her, and a relative of hers, regarding furniture that she said was damaged because of the move. Upon inspecting the items, it was noticed that the bedroom furniture was made out of pressed wood and is specifically not covered per our disclaimer noted on the bill of lading and our customer survey sheet, both which she signed as noted above.
Regarding the leather chairs, upon inspecting them, there was damage to the inner seating portion and determined that the chairs were not damaged during the move as she noted. It could of been caused by someone sitting in the chair with a sharp object. This type of damage was not caused by our workers or during the move process. Ms. [redacted] was given that information at the time of the inspection. There was not a conversation about refunding her move or for her furniture to be replaced.
Respectfully,
[redacted] Moving, Inc. [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2014/10/30) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I absolutely do not accept this response. Mr. [redacted] is a horrible businessman and person. His response is full of lies and I have two witnesses to prove it.
First, the reason I did not mention any damaged items at the time of the move is because one of his movers was flirting with me and made me uncomfortable. They took much longer to move my furniture than they told me it was going to take and I did not want to pay even more for them to sit around while I inspected my furniture. As soon as I got a chance to look at the furniture, I took pictures of it and called them to let them know. I do not recall ever receiving a customer survey so don't know what he is talking about when he mentions that.
My bedroom furniture was purchased through Macys. Macys delivered it to me, put it together and inspected it with me. When I received it from them it was in perfect condition. I take care of my things and the furniture was a gift so I especially took care of it. The furniture was not moved from the location the Macys delivery men put it in my apartment until the [redacted] movers came to move it. It went from being brand new and in perfect condition to being beat up.
When Mr. [redacted] finally came to come look at the furniture he specifically noted that my furniture was NOT made of pressed particleboard. It is expensive furniture and is wood. The only thing that is pressed particle board is the rail of the bed, which he realized was their fault because his men were the ones to take it apart when it was still in perfect and new condition and then when they put it back together they broke a piece off of it.
As for the red chairs - Mr. [redacted] brought one of the men that helped move me (one of my two witnesses to all of this) to look at the damaged furniture. The mover admitted that they did not wrap the chairs like they were supposed to and just threw them into the truck. He acknowledged that it was their fault. While Mr. [redacted] seemed unhappy about this, he apologized and said he would have his repair guy fix them as well.
After inspecting my furniture, taking some pictures of their damages and agreeing that it was the moving companies fault, Mr. [redacted] offered to either refund me for the move or have his repair guy come out to fix the furniture. Because the furniture was new and a gift I wanted to make sure it looked nice. The furniture cost much more than the move, so him refunding me would not solve the problem so I told him that I would like his repairman to come fix it.
It wasn't until June 24, two months after my move that a man named [redacted] called me to come fix my furniture. (I have the original message he left me). I scheduled a time for him to come out, but he never came and he never returned any other of my calls. Mr. [redacted] cannot claim that his movers did not damage my furniture because he filled out a work order and sent it to his repairman to come out and fix my furniture. He would not have sent a work order to his repairman if he was not at fault for the damage.
When it became apparent that my first option of having my furniture repaired was not going to happen, I called the Mr. [redacted] and told him that I was tired of waiting on his repair man and would like him to just refund me for the move. I was so sick of trying to work with him and just wanted to be done with it. He told me okay. After this he stopped answering or returning any of my calls.
The other member of my family that spoke with Mr. [redacted] was my father. Mr. [redacted] is a very unprofessional man and it was making me so angry to work with him. I thought he was trying to take advantage of me because I was a young, naive, woman, so asked my father to speak with him. I wanted Mr. [redacted] to know that I was not messing around and that he was not going to be able to get away with how he was handling the situation. When he spoke with my father he even told my father that the damage was their fault and that he was going to have his repairman come out and fix it for me.
As I mentioned before, I do not recall ever filling out a customer review form. I know I never received anything in the mail from them nor did I ever mail anything in. And I can tell you for sure that I would not have circled "excellent" for the overall move considering the movers broke the light in the elevator at my old apartment complex while moving my furniture.
Mr. [redacted] is a dishonest and unprofessional businessman. I have never met an adult that ignores calls and does not response to voice mails because he doesn't want to deal with a situation. He told me one thing and is now claiming another. Both his mover and my friend were present when he made me the two offers. And it is ridiculous that he is lying about it.
I though that formally writing to the Revdex.com would help the situation, but it seems that he has now just become a bigger liar. I have attached some of the photos I took of my furniture the day I inspected it. I would love to speak with someone about this further. I have never worked with such a horrible person. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and would like this to be resolved so I can move forward.

I am rejecting this response because:
There were plenty of moving blankets available to be used and I did not give permission to the loaders to use my sleeping bags and bed sheets for cushion. Why would I authorize those expensive items to be used to cushion wood furniture?
I would like to be refunded an amount to replace all damages unauthorized items.
Not good business practice to hide behind a contract and not fully replace damaged items due to negligence of employees.
All I'm asking is to be treated fairly and to have the value of my items replaced
