Revdex.com spoke with [redacted] from the company and she stated that there was a mix up with the pet deposit and they refunded the consumer the $70 application fee.

Review: Before applying for approval of a rental unit I specifically asked about a pet deposit for their pet friendly unit. I was told by leasing agent [redacted] that, "Most of our units have a $100-$500 non-refundable pet agreement". With that being said, I chose to go ahead and apply for approval. Once approved, I was told there was a $700 non-refundable pet deposit and $50 a month as well. So with that being said, I was lied to before I submitted the application and now my girlfriend and I both lost $35 each. Neither one of us would have applied knowing these were the fees to begin with!Desired Settlement: $70

Review: Landlord does not respond to maintenance issues, withholds security deposit monies for unauthorized reasons in violation of Virginia statute. The landlord's agent found no damages on move-out inspection other than those that we had identified as preexisting at move-in on the move-in checklist. Landlord references "Service calls/Plumbing issues caused by tenant as reason for withholding more than a third of the deposit on an apartment we rented for almost five years. We asked for a service call to repair a leaking sink once in the first year of our tenancy. The landlord advised of of no deduction at that time. Since then, no service person has repaired a single thing in the apartment. An overflow for which I was responsible damaged the unit below us several years ago, and I was billed for that damage by the landlord and promptly paid. We are aware of no other repair for which we can be held responsible, and the landlord never notified us within 30 days of discovery of any planned deductions over the course of our tenancy, which the code requires.Desired Settlement: We expect the return of the remaining $345.46 of the deposit in accordance with Virginia Code Section 55-248.15:1

Dear Ms. [redacted],

Review: I rented a property from Robinson Street property and had to leave due to the fact that the mold was not properly treated even after leaving the property clean and kept as promised Robinson Street properties refused to return my calls to return my security deposit even after moving in to another home and apartment complex when the staff attempted to contact Robinson Street properties to confirm my previous address this company refuse to answer any calls even with voicemails left Robinson Street properties robbed me for about $800 security deposit and my kids had to leave the home because of the sickness the mold was causing them I had informed the company the reason why I was leaving and even showed them pictures of the mold but yet they feel as if they were obligated to my security deposit even with my before and after pictures of how well kept I kept the house because now I am in a different state it is difficult for me to fight this in court but they know that they were wrong because the house was infected by mold and I had to leave because of thisDesired Settlement: I will like my security deposit back
