Robinson's Automotive, Inchas been in business for over eight years, our three techshave over eighty years of experience in the automotive repair industry. We specialize in foreign and luxury automobilesWe also handle a lot of highend restoration workOur customer satisfaction rating
is beyond reproach.Almost all of our business comes from word of mouth as we do not advertiseWeregularly have at least one if not several customer's with Jaguars in our shop. Our experience, knowledge and expertise with these vehicles is vastWe alsoconstantly keep updated on the latest information and data about thesevehicles, by utilizing ***, *** and *** Pro Demandsoftware for resource informationIn addition we obtain and follow allthe latest Technical Service Bulletins (TSB's)We take pride in providingexcellent customer service and in treating every customer with honesty andintegrityMs***'s Jaguar XKwas brought into Robinson's Automotive on March 18,Ms*** drove the car in stating that she had just purchased itShestated that the vehicle was making noise from the chainsOur technicians heardthe timing chains, which were extremely loud when she pulled upOur company never started the car again until after the timing chain was replaced out ofconcern that the engine may jump time, which could/would cause catastrophicdamage to the engine (very common for these particular engines)The customersupplied her own chain kit and was informed on initial written estimate (whichshe approved) that there would be no warranty on those partsOnce the car was completely reassembled with all appropriate fluids added, all foreign material removed, oil pan flushed with timing cover removed for access, the vehicle was then started upThe vehicle then presented (upon startup) with aRod Knock, which the customer appears to be confusing with a bent rod. This was due to the vehicle having one spun Rod Bearing (and another on theverge of being spun) as was later confirmed by *** at Motor Machine Super Shopin Carmichael, CA. This spun rod bearing, after inspection, showedlong-term damagei.e (driving for a while with low oil most likely) After presenting this information to the customer she wasn’t sure if shewanted us to install an already rebuilt engine or to have us rebuildhers. After months of waiting, Ms*** decided to have us rebuildher engineShe even supplied her own crankshaft (which lends to participation on her part),As her crankshaft was too badly damaged to use in the rebuilt engine. We were evenable to salvage two connecting rods out of a ***ated engine to replace the twobad rods, for which we never even charged her for the tear-down of another engineWe then rebuilt the engine and returned the vehicle to the customer with the engine working properly, asdesignedThis total process took about ten months, which included the timespent for inspection and diagnosis, waiting for the customer to decide how toproceed, waiting for the customer to decide whether to purchase a used engineoff the internet or rebuild her own engine, finding and acquiring parts,Having the parts of the engine machined at a machine shop, and the reassemblingand reinstalling the rebuilt engine in her carAt every juncture we helped andgave advise to the customer about how to save money on the project. Afterthe many hours of labor (that were not charged) many price reductions given onrelated repairs such as replacement of her front brakes, drive-lineflex disk, battery, and work ***e at no charge, she was only billed $5609.02. Theaverage for a job like this would normally be between $to $10,minimum.The project was completed and she stated that she was completely happy andsatisfied on January 23, when she paid for the work without hesitation. In January of 2015, about one year after we completed our work, MS*** calledand stated that due to a Power Steering Fluid leak, and her illness, she hadbeen unable to drive the vehicle or return to have us check the leakShe askedif *** would extend her warranty as she had only driven the car a couple hundredmiles*** agreed to extend the warranty as a courtesy, giving Ms*** anadditional twelve months or 10,miles on the original warranty in the workperformedThe extension of the warranty was expressly contingent upon hergetting regular services ***e on the vehicleOn February 5, she brought the car in for the repairAt that point shestated that she was considering selling the car and was ready to address anissue with the ABS light going onThe power steering leak turned out to be ahose clamp that needed to be re-positionedWe had the ABS Control Module sentout to a re-builder to be re-manufactured,because Ms*** indicated that shewas financially not in a position to purchase a new unitWhen we got the unitback and installed it, there was also a problem with the Wheel Speed Sensor andABS Wiring HarnessAfter those issues were repaired we test drove the vehiclefor about thirty miles on local streets and freewayDuring the test drive the vehicledrove fine and we did not find any problems or issuesThe vehicle was returnedto Ms*** on April 18, She was happy with the repairs and how thevehicle operatedThe charges for this work were also discounted. On that same day the customer called and stated that her ABS light came backon, she also texted a pictureWe apologized and told her tobring it back in for evaluationWe made it very clear that the parts andrepairs were under warrantyShe did not bring the car back inas we requestedOn approximately May 8, 2015, Ms*** called us, sounding very upsetShe yelledabout the ABS unit and her carWe were polite to her and let her vent herconcernsShe then became verbally abusive and threateningShethreatened to post bad reviews about our company on the internet unlesswe paid her $5,Ms*** claimed that if we did not pay her she wouldruin our companyWhen she made these threats we ended the telephonecallWe did immediately send her an e-mail to let her know that we weresorry that she had not been well, We also explained that we would gladly fixthe ABS issueA couple days later we were alerted by a customer about a reviewleft by *** on *** regarding our shop that was dated April 25, whichwas before receiving the threatening phone call.We have heard by Ms*** that she has been struggling with brain cancer andother physical health problems; as well as trouble with law enforcementWe suspect that her complaints are related to these issues. We have always been willing towork with Ms*** to address and fix the ABS problem, but we will notfall prey to extortionWe can provide the Revdex.com with any information or documentation it would liketo reviewWe do not think that any further communication with Ms*** willbe fruitful and are in the process of evaluating taking legal action ofour own

I am rejecting this response because:I knew that *** was going to try to demonize me, with my Legal Cannabis Prescription, & useHe threatened to turn me into the police for my growing cannabis, for my brain cancer. The Police in Placerville, are not honoring the Law of California, but instead, using the Federal Law, that Cannabis is a dangerous drug, (That no one has ever died from.)So I was afraid, to turn him into the BARI will now.Just the facts:A car with bent rods will not even go mile, as per the Jaguar Mechanic that inspected ***'s work, & called him a "Thief."Do not take your car there, unless you want to go through the sameI contacted his Network yesterday.Sincerely,*** ***
