I hired *** (Robinson Concrete) to pour a new concrete patio across the back of our house and haul off an existing slab of the old patio, approximately 10'x10'. We paid him extra to spread some dirt where the old pool surround had been that we had recently removed. Instead of hauling off the concrete, he buried it in my yard and spread the dirt over it, only covering it with approximately 4" of soil. That now has to be dug up and removed. The patio slopes toward the house and holds water against the bricks. It is supposed to drain water away from the house. Instead of the patio being level with the house slab, it slopes upward from one end to the other, covering the entire bottom layer of bricks on one end. There is also now concrete splattered against the back door and the bricks which will need to be cleaned.
Mr. has stopped returning my calls. He says in text messages he is coming back to fix it. He has not even come back to look at the problems. He has had over three weeks to come back but has not.

Other (requires explanation) The patio needs to be fixed correctly, which likely means tearing it out and starting over. Robinson Concrete can come back and fix it or pay me what it would cost to have a different contractor fix it. I would prefer that someone else fix it properly and Robinson Concrete pay for it. I really don't want Robinson Concrete back to do any more work at our house. I do not want more concrete poured on top of this as that would cover even more of the bricks and weep holes in the bottom layer.
Spoke with Mr. *** by telephone and he stated that he knows what needs to be done to resolve the issue and he is willing to have the issue resolved at his expense by his contractors but he has to be allowed back on the property to do so. He stated that Mr. has told him he is not allowed back on the property.

I never told Mr. he wasn't allowed back on the property. I did say I would rather have someone else make the repairs at his expense, but if he is willing to fix it, he is welcome to come back and do so. All I need is a date and he can come back to do the work.
He did good work for my step-son in Livingston which is why I hired him. I know he can do it right and all I want is a patio done right.
If he will fix the patio to where I am satisfied I will drop the matter and give him a positive review for correcting an issue I wasn't happy with.
