Rob's Appliance Service

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
I have used Rob's Appliance before to fix my washing machine.  When it came time to pay the deductible for the service which had been arranged by American Home Shield I made the check out to the Rob's Appliance.  Every time I have requested a repair from American Home Shield they have said I should pay my deductible to the company that comes to make the repair.  My policy with American Home Shield has now expired so I cannot get the repair done with someone else.  When the technician came to repair the dishwasher but left before any work was done, he asked me for a $75 check made out to Rob's Appliance, not American Home Shield.  This is an issue to be worked out between American Home Shield and Rob's Appliance.  I cannot get my repair and should not have to pay $75 when no service was rendered.  Sincerely,[redacted]

First of all we (Rob’s Appliance Service) works for American Home Shield and the $75 is paid to American Home Shield, Ms. [redacted] pays a service fee deductible when ANY service company shows up at the door, payable to American Home Shield.  The apology given by the office manager should not...

have ever been assumed that Rob’s Appliance would pay her service fee deductible payable again – NOT to Rob’s Appliance, due to American Home Shield.  IF she paid the deductible she can then have further service to determine if there is a problem and have it fixed, she has every right after paying American Home Shield to ask for another company.  Rob’s Appliance does NOT take apart anything without hearing where noise is coming from and IF it is out of the ordinary/normal noise caused by a part failure.  Bottom line is Rob’s Appliance works for American Home Shield and the customer is to pay her deductible to the warranty company she requested her service from, American Home Shield.
