Took my Sons car here for repair and owner directed son that it would cost $800 for the repair of the head gasket replacement. My son took 1/2 the cost to him on 2/13/2020 and we asked for the car to be done by 3/3/2020 he said I don't see a problem with that. That day came and went. I went up to check status of car and was told it was just pulled in to the shop(hood was opened) I went to pay the balance of $400 so it was paid off 3/11/2020. At that time the owner tried to blame another shop employee for losing all paperwork on the car then in the same sentence said that wasn't what the quote was it was more then that, again no paperwork to prove the price. We received a call and owner said its gonna be more extensive and my son ordered him to stop working on it. Went up to receive the funds back for overpayment and was told all we get back was $252.00 and the parts that the shop ordered and cant return apparently. The final bill states that there was 5 hours of labor put into the car which is completely false as the owner said he had no time to work on it with multiple other vehicles that came first. We told him to stop working on it and he just put the stuff in the back of the car and threw the wires and other things that were attached to the engine in the engine compartment and closed the hood and pushed it outside.

This is a terrible situation for Rob and myself as this is family and we were more than willing to be helpful with this situation. VOLKSWAGON WAS DROPPED OFF AT ROBS AUTO REPAIR
A NOTE ATTHACHED FROM THE CUSTOMER HAD MULTIPLE MODIFICATIONS AND ISSUES TO LOOK ATROBS AUTO SPOKE TO *** ABOUT A 1200. QUOTE AS *** WAS TOHELP HIM OUT AND WORK OFF THE OTHER 400 TO MAKE THE FINAL 1200*** CAME ONE DAY TO HELP FOR A FEW HOURS THEN NEVER RETURNED11-26-20 ROBS AUTO ORDERED PARTS FROM ROCK AUTO ON GOOD FAITHWITH NO DEPOSIT MONEY. PARTS HAVE A 30 DAY RETURN POLICY AT ROCK AUTO AND PARTS ARRIVED ON DEC 4TH AT WHICH TIME NO DEPOSITMONIES WERE STILL GIVEN NOR DID *** CONTACT ROB BUT ONCE TO COMEHELP ON HIS CAR. THE VEHICLE SAT HERE FOR ALMOST 3 MONTHS UNTIL A DEPOSIT OF 400. WAS BROUGHT ON FEBRUARY 13 2020. AROUND FEBRUARY 26TH *** CONTACTED JESSICA C, ROBS WIFE TO SEE IF ROB COULD HAVE CAR COMPLETE BY MARCH 3RD ***S BIRTHDAY. ROBS AUTO STATED HE WOULD TRY. ROBS AUTO HAD A BUSY SCHEUDLE THAT WEEK AND COULD NOT WORK ON. ON MARCH 11TH *** GAVE THE REMAINDER OF DEPOSIT TO ROBS AUTO OF 400. ON ALL OF ROBS AUTO INVOICES IT STATES"ANY QUOTE GIVE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A FAIR ESTIMATE OF SERVICES TO BE COMPLETED AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE" "YOU WILL RECIEVE A FINAL STATEMENT UPON COMPLETION OF SERVICES, AT WHICH TIME PAYMENT IS EXPECTED IN FULL" 3-17-20 ROBS AUTO STARTED TO WORK ON THE CAR AND FOUND THAT ONCETHE HEAD WAS REMOVED THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE BLOCK AMONGST A LOT OF OTHERISSUES AS WERE DISCUSSED BETWEEN *** AND ROB. WHEN ROBS AUTO CONTACTED ***AND STATED HIS FINDINGS, *** STATED AT THAT POINT HE DID NOT WANT THE WORK FINISHED AND HE WOULD PICK THE CAR UP. THE ESTIMATE GUIDE SHOWS BETWEEN 10-20HOURS TO DO A HEAD GASKET. *** WAS CHARGED FOR 5 HOURS, THE TIME IN WHICH IT TOOK ROBS AUTO TO PULL THE HEAD AND FIND THE DAMAGE. *** WAS ALSO ONLY CHARGED 70. AN HOUR BECAUSE HE WAS FAMILY AND WAS GOING TO HELP HIS UNCLE.ROBS AUTO NORMALLY HAS A SHOP RATE OF 80.00 AN HOUR FOR CARS AND 90.00FOR TRUCKS IN WHICH IS POSTED IN THE SHOP. 3-23-20 *** CAME TO ROBS AUTO TO SETTLE UP ON THE FINAL BILL. AFTER SUBTRACTING THE 5 HOURS AND PARTS, IN WHICH WERE GIVEN TO *** AND ROBS AUTO GAVE *** ANOTHER 35.00 FOR THEONE DAY HE DID HELP THE FINAL AMOUNT WAS 251.59. *** RECIEVED 250.00.AFTER *** LEFT, *** CONTINUALLY SENT TXT MESSAGES TOJESSICA C ABOUT HOW UNFAIR *** WAS TREATED, AMONGST CALLING THESHOP STATING SHE WAS GOING TO CONTACT A LAWYER AND SUE ROBS AUTO.AFTER A FEW HOURS, JESSICA C CONTACTED *** TO PLEASE HAVE THECAR REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY BY THE END OF THE DAY. THE CAR WAS PICKED UPWITHIN A FEW HOURS. TYPICALLY ROBS AUTO HAS A STORAGE POLICY FEE THAT IS POSTED. IT STATES "THIS IS NOT A STORAGE FACILITY ANY VEHICLE THAT WOULD REQUIRE A DEPOSIT FOR WORKTO BE DONE WILL BE CHARGED THE STORAGE FEE AFTER14 DAYS. THERE CAN ALSO BE A MONTHLY STORAGE FEE FOR VEHICLES NOT BEINGWORKED ON THAT WILL BE NO LESS THAN 500.00 A MONTH" THIS WAS POSTED ON 11-11-2017 AND IS CLEARLY POSTED AT THE COURTESY WINDOW. ROBS AUTO DID NOT CHARGE ANY STORAGE FEES AND WAS MORE THAN FAIR WITH THE CUSTOMER.
