Review: Rocco and Son Contracting was suppose to do my roof in shingles. They only did the front of my roof and not the back . I emailed them pictures of the back roof no action has been taken to resolve this matter it's in the contract they wrote up . I told them that's in the contract they say no it's not . You can't see the back of the roof unless you get on the roof I never checked until now .Desired Settlement: Just want my roof done. I paid 14,300 to Roccos and Son Contractors in work that was done this is what I get in return.

Unfortunately [redacted] misunderstood the scope of work we agreed on, as per our contract. (removing and Replacing entire slate roof) which we were contracted to do and did do.
Review: I hired Rocco and Son to repair a leak in my kitchen. They said the roof needs to be re coated and that gutters needed to be installed. They gave one date and when I called for an eta that day they told me they were not scheduled for that day. However, after I complained they found someone to come out. They left with out completing the job and I was told they would be back the next day to instal elbows on the downspouts but it took me calling and about 2 or 3 weeks for them to come back out. I called them a month or so later and complained that the downspout came loose and the roof in the kitchen was also still leaking. I was advised they were not responsible for the downspout because they felt it was due to the wind.( Had it been done correctly it would not have came undone). They came out and looked at the side of the house and said the water was getting in due to ice that had formed on the side of the house due to the downspout sliding down. Now here I am 5 or 6 months later and the leak is still there only worse. Whenever it rains I have to place a bucket on top of my brand new cabinets to catch the water. They were supposed to come out today 5/19/2014 but once again I was told when I called for an eta they would not be out today they will be there tomorrow.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund because I paid them to fix a problem and the problem still exist. This company does not appear to care about the damage that is being caused to my home.

Spoke with customer and made an appointment to meet with her on Tuesday May 20, 2014 to see how we can help her solve her leaking problem
Review: Contractor was contracted by neighbor to replace roof. Work was done on 9/26/2011 according to neighbor and verified by contractor. Hundreds of pounds of debris, gravel, dirt, bricks were dumped on my roof without my knowledge or permission and left there until I discovered it on April 6, 2013. I contacted contractor by phone several times the week of April 15, 2013 until I finally spoke to the manager requesting that the debris be removed and that I be compensated for the time, trouble and garbage bags I used to shovel slag into.Desired Settlement: That the bags of debris and slag be removed from my roof and disposed of properly and that I be compensated for the bags and my time bagging the debris up. Also, an apology for dumping said debris on my roof without my permission or knowledge.

Review: Good Afternoon,
Appromimately 5 months ago Rocco and Sons was hired to install a brand new pitch roof. The roof was completed and approximately 1 month ago the roof began leaking. Two weeks ago we had some rain and a significant portion of the roof collapsed, The company encouraged me to take out a loan for $7,000 with a 26% interest rate. They have refused to repair any of the damages and have continually been rude and they refuse to acknowledge the warranty.
I would be extremely grateful if you could help me with bring this company to the light.
Thank you so much for all of your help!
Kindest Regards,
[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to company to return all monies paid to them.

[redacted] called our company on March 24, 2014 to come out and give a estimate for her top roof. Our estimator Michael G[redacted] went out the next day to inspect the roof on March 25, 2014, it was found the roof was in poor condition, a new roof was needed as well as a tapered insulation system in order to pitch her roof properly. The customer said she did not have the funds to do the work needed, we referred her to [redacted] as an option. [redacted] called our company on April 18, 2014 and informed us she was ready to begin the work Our crew went out on May 9, 2014 to start the work, when roofing material was removed to install tapered insulation system all sheathing was in need of replacement. Customer was made aware of condition of sheathing and told it would be additional cost at which point customer said she was not able to afford it. Roofing was already removed, the sheathing was rotted from water damage, customer was told the sheathing was necessary to redeck the entire roof with 5/8" plywood and install the modified rubber roof as per contract. As this was the only option to get the premises water tight. Customer said she was not able to afford to do that even though she received $ 5035.19 from [redacted] which we only received the two checks that were made out to our customer and us totaling $ 4200.00. In order for us to work with her we did the sheathing and pitched the roof as best of our ability.Customer called about roof leaking on 9/26/2014 and I went out to inspect the leak and found all roofing was completed as per contract upon inspection. It was found that a cap was missing from vent stack ( see picture ) that is causing a leak into the property and in fact is ponding water on the roof. My crew went out on 10/24/2014 to install the new vent, it was then the customers daughter went up on the roof and saw the water was ponding due to the fact that the customer could not afford to install a tapered insulation system which caused the ponding , which in turn she cancelled the $ 125.00 having the stack cap installed. On 10/28/2014 customer called and we set a date to meet on 10/29/2014 and was met by the daughter of the home owner and assured her whatever needed to be done to fix her problem would be done. She refused to let me acces the problem and rectify it. She told me she hired a lawyer and just continued to say negative comments about our company as well as calling me a fraud and a racist. As for the loan that was made we offer it as an option to our customers and in no way encourage anyone in their financial decisions, As for the amount of $ 7000.00 that she claims , all we received was the $ 4200.00 for the roofing work Respectfully,Michael G[redacted]'

Review: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
In rebuttal to Rocco and Sons Construction Company I am noting that
there are consistent holes in their responses. On 3/25/2014 I was advised that
a new roof would be needed in addition to the tapered insulation system needed
to pitch the roof. I concur with Rocco and Sons, that I did not have $4200 to
pay for the job which is the amount that was quoted and agreed upon by Rocco
and Sons (see attached Work Order). I was referred to [redacted] and
agreed to use this option to pay for the services. [redacted]
approved me for a $4200 loan. I was sold additional products, which included
life insurance, an appliance warranty, and was refunded $10.20, once all fees
had been distributed. No additional monies have been given to me.
Review: The roof next door to me at [redacted] was done by Rocco and Sons on 5/22/2014. I confronted one of the owners at [redacted] when he came to pick up his check on 5/23/2014. I expressed to him how all the neighbors were upset at the mess the company made along the front pavements on the [redacted]. Trash and debris was all along the pavement and on my steps and porch . I took out my phone and pulled up pictures where the company had thrown trash from the roof all in my backyard and told him I did not appreciate it.. The owner agreed that it was wrong and that it should have been cleaned up the day it happened. He took out his phone and called the company and said someone needed to come to my address and clean up the mess they made. He told me someone would be there the next morning. I gave him my number and asked to be sure to contact me first so I could make sure the gate would be unlocked. I did not plan on waiting there all day. I called the next day at about 3pm and asked why no one had been to my property. I was told that I was on the list and someone would be there. As of today I haven't heard anything from them. A complaint was filed with L&I(confirm#[redacted]) along with pictures being attached. Since Memorial Day was approaching I had to pay someone to do the clean up. Unfortunately all Rocco and Sons did was take the money and run. I hate to say it but they would have never left such a mess in certain other neighborhoods. I will definitely be passing the information around. I'm sure it won't make them or break them but it will make a difference.Desired Settlement: An apology for the inconsiderate treatment and a commitment to a policy to clean up the mess they create. Reimburse me for the money I had to pay out to clean up their mess.
