I took my vehicle in on March 4, 2015 to have all the fluids flushed (transmission fluid, coolant flush, power steering flush, front and rear differential flush, transfer case flush, brakes flushed and oil changed. This cost me $1134.99. When I got my vehicle back I noticed that there was noise and rattling coming from there front end. It was more obvious when going over bumps. This was not there before hand. I called them back first thing in the morning. Told them what was going on and brought it in from them to look at it around 8am on Mar 5th, 2015 (next day). 10:26am I received a call back asking me where in the front end the noise was coming from because they couldn't hear anything. I told them the same thing I said in the morning and that my vehicle didn't make any they noises, rattling and everything was nice and tight before hand. At 11:17am they called me back saying that something could of come loose when we had it up in the air. To me that sound like the fault is on there part . They likely lifted the vehicle up in properly, didn't let the vehicle un thaw enough, it was minus 45 yesterday morning. He also told me that it would cost me to have it looked at to determine exactly what is wrong. [redacted] When I went to pick up the vehicle I asked to speak to the owner. He told me that he won't be in tell next week. Also the person (manager) said that he isn't going to pay to have it fixed. Why would someone say that their are not going pay to have it fixed, if they know that they didn't cause the damage? [redacted]Desired SettlementFix the damageBusiness Response [redacted] When his concern was brought up we brought the vehicle in to inspect , took it for two test drives to determine the noise, on the hoist only problem found was two possible areas that could possibly be causing noise - one was a shock the other slight play in ball joints, both are due to wear . No damage from lifting vehicle present. At no time was the customer asked to pay for this re inspect. He was quoted estimates for the unrelated repairs if he chose. The customer [redacted] was advised that I would be back in town on Monday Morning, I called him at 8:28 am Monday morning to address the situation but he did not answer and I left him a message , which he did not return. He also put several calls into our national warranty dept , and chose not to heed there advise either, [redacted]. l[redacted] If in anyway we damaged something we would more than happily take care of it. The only possibility that I see at this time is that the vehicle was thoroughly thawed out in the shop and perhaps the rattle became more apparent, however I don't discount the customers concern because I have not seen the vehicle for myself. My suggestion is for the customer to book it in when he can come as well and we can reinspect to his satisfaction [redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)No. I took it to [redacted] dealer and It cost me an additional $1400.00 to fix the problem that was not there prior to taking it in to NAPA. In response to his comments. about not trying to call him back. Both me and my spouse called. Each time he was convienantly not in. Also I was not quoted estimates. I was told it would cost my money to determine what's the noise was. Final Business Response Like I said this is the first response I have seen from him since we replyed march 10,2015 , seeing how the customer did not give me a chance to look at the vehicle and I still don't know what it is he thinks we done I don't know what to respond to . Please make available copy's of repairs so that we may respond to the alleged damages. As far as a quote goes , there is a quote for ball joints and shocks on the last invoice #[redacted]. But neither of these have anything to do with the last service. Like stated before when vehicle was inspected the day after the flushes no damage caused by hoist lifting was evident, if there was we would have repaired at our expense. Customer was advised that I would be out of town till Monday March 9. , so trying to contact before than made no sense. I made my self available like promised that day and the following day but heard nothing. [redacted]
