Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2015/11/11) */
All site preparation and building activity has been confined to our propertyMinimal intrusion onto complaintant's lot was necessary for placement of snow fencing and other protective barriersOur personnel have responded professionally and
appropriately at all timesWe regret complaintant's dissatisfaction with our presence
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2015/11/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We do not accept the response from the business because I am still missing a large portion of my drivewayPlus, they just admitted to trespassing onto my property in their response to our legitimate complaintThey responded with the following:
"All site preparation and building activity has been confined to our propertyMinimal intrusion onto complaintant's lot was necessary for placement of snow fencing and other protective barriers."
I'm 100% positive that those two sentences completely contradict each other
Petty complaining and point making aside, we simply want our driveway redone to its former standardOur driveway has started to crack, chip and fall apart along the section that Habitat cutThe new damage is directly related to their workWith our driveways newly reduced width, we can hardly get into and out of our driveway with my truckMy boat may not be able to be removed at all due to the issue without driving in the dirt or running over our deck stairsIt needs to be fixed and re-widend to its former width and sizeHabitat really just needs to right their wrongs and do the right thing moving forwardWe ask that they fix what they have destroyed, our driveway
What they have done was not at all required for their project to be completedThey are simply being a bully neighborOur driveway did not need to be destroyed to grade their land, etcThere was no need at allThey are just causing issues with their neighbors that do not need to be madeWe want a good relationship and a usable drivewayAttached is one picture showing some of the damageThe crack is slowly continuing to further extending across the driveway
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2015/11/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Good businesses should do what is right, morally and ethicallyYours should too; especially as a Christian Organization! Having worked in city planning, I can tell you that there is a huge difference in doing what is legal, right and morally and ethically correct vsdoing things the way your organization has conducted itself thus far in your building project next door to our home and in working with us personallyWhat your organization is doing is bad business practiceEven if it doesn't break any laws, it is very inappropriate to bully your way around and to, through your work, destroy property that is needed by those who own itEspecially when the damage done by your organization is spreading and becoming worse on our driveway due to your business cutting corners in regard to your workPlans provided to us or not, we were told by your organization that the driveway would not be touched in any way or form because that would not be needed or required to finish your projectThere was a verbal agreement made with us, your neighbors, not to touch our much needed drivewayWe own the drivewayIt was sold to us when we purchased our home and now much of it has been removed against our will and behind our backs while at workYour organization is using bad business practices and cutting corners, which is leading to much greater problems on our propertyYour work should never, ever, affect our property like it is! Unfortunately, it isWe want this resolved so that the future home owner can take possession of the home without this added stressor and so that we can use our driveway without wrecking it or having trouble using it as it is intendedIt is truly awesome that you are helping somebody get into a new homeEverybody deserves a safe, God blessed, great home to call their ownCausing issues like this is only making this great situation a terrible one for everybody currently involvedI truly feel bad that this future home owner has been brought into this situation through your bad practices and corner cuttingI truly hope that it can be fully resolved before they become more involved against their will as we wereThey do not deserve that; nobody doesThe ball is in your courtWill your organization do what is right? I really hope so
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2015/11/24) */
All grading and site preparation work was performed in accordance with the approved grading plan, which was provided to the homeowner prior to the start of constructionAll grade modifications occurred on property owned by our organization
