Dear *** ***: I apologize for the delay in responding, but I just returned from weeks in the Midwest to attend my mother’s funeral. I was not able to access my records while on the roadI hold clinical hypnotherapy sessions in cities across states, and have seen approximately
900,clients over the past years. I do not offer guarantees or refunds because the client has the responsibility of using the reinforcement CD properly. This policy is stated at the beginning of each seminar. Clients who do have difficulty call or email, and I can usually get them on track. *** *** attended a session on July 7, in the Northern Neck area of Virginia. I’ve been holding sessions in the Northern Neck for over years with very good results. According to feedback I have received, others who attended that same evening are doing extremely well. My first contact from *** *** after the date of the seminar that she attended was an email dated December at 7:p.m., months after the seminar. I responded that same evening at 8:p.mreiterating my policy regarding refunds and asking for her phone number so that I could give her a call and discuss the issue with her in greater detail. She emailed back on December at 9:a.m., and still did not give me a phone number. I replied again on the same day at 10:a.m., again requesting a phone number. Based on the date of your initial email to me, the complaint was filed by the next morningAs I begin my seminars, all clients are required to read the instructions involving this hypnotherapy process The statement reads: “Hypnosis is a consent situation in which the effort is equally divided between the therapist and the subject.” This is also covered in detail during the actual pre-induction seminar. Because of the above, I hold on my position that I charge for my time, and not for guaranteed results, as I cannot control what the client does after leaving the buildingI am attaching the email exchangesRegards, DrRonald F*, Ph.DFlora Clinics *** *** *** *** Arlington, VA ###-###-#### Email: [email protected] www.floraclinics.com

Dear *** ***:I have been holding group seminars for weight, smoking, and stress for over years Most clients who attend the group session and use the reinforcement CD properly do very well Extreme levels of stress in a person's life might prevent success These personal issues cannot be addressed in a group situation Private sessions are more effective, but are costly I charge $per hour with a minimum of minutes, so a client would end up spending around $for a private consultation and induction I gave a session in the Northern Neck (VA) area this past Thursday night, and clients were there because an associate who had attended previously has lost over pounds Group sessions must be consistent where everyone hears the very same presentation There is no way for me to assess stress levels in a person's life, but generally the proper use of the CD will help the client override those issues Because *** *** refused to email her phone number, I was not able to assist her in assessing her inability to lose weight This was her second attempt, so she must have felt there was an advantage to return for an additional session Also, after the first hour pre-induction lecture (before the actual hypnosis begins), I state that anyone who has changed their mind is able to leave at that point with their fee Again, I charge for the time spent in the seminar I maintain my position that refunds are not offered because I cannot control the client's follafter they leave the session.Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:With all due respect to MrFlora, I have not questioned his experience in his profession and I respect his work or I would not have attended the session last year With that being said, I did NOT attend a second session I do not know where he has gotten that information from, but it is FALSE If he insists that I had a "second attempt" as he put it, I would like him to provide proof, which I know with 100% certainty he doesn't have If I thought for an instant that attending a second session would have been of benefit to me, I would have Therefore, I ask MrFlora, why, when I am requesting a refund for the ONLY session I attended, would I attend a second when the first failed? This infuriates me As he stated in his reply,"MOST" of his clients do well I did not I do not appreciate his insinuation that stress was a factor He is correct - he has no way of assessing stress levels in a person's life, so for the gentleman to suggest that stress was the cause of not succeeding is incorrect, unacceptable and subjective Furthermore, congratulations to those who have done well I think that is wonderful but I am not other clients, we are all INDIVIDUALS For DrFlora to compare me to others is quite unfair As for the pre-induction seminar which I attended in 2016, I did not change my mind, so, NO, I did not leave I stayed with a strong conviction that I would follow his direction and program exactly as he instructed us to do and I did His continuous suggestions that I did not follow his program is insulting to my character Personal issues, present or not, do not have any weight on success or failure As human beings, we all have personal issues to overcome, ignore, etc My only issue is that I followed MrFlora's program exactly as he specified, including the reinforcement CD use, and I did not lose one pound In regards to the cost of his personal sessions, that is irrelevant I am thankful that I only paid $for a group session and I am maintaining my position that he offered a SERVICE, not only time I request a refund for the program that failed me

I am rejecting this response because:With all due respect to Mr. Flora, I have not questioned his experience in his profession and I respect his work or I would not have attended the session last year.  With that being said, I did NOT attend a second session.  I do not know where he has gotten that information from, but it is FALSE.  If he insists that I had a "second attempt" as he put it, I would like him to provide proof, which I know with 100% certainty he doesn't have.   If I thought for an instant that attending a second session would have been of benefit to me, I would have.  Therefore, I ask Mr. Flora, why, when I am requesting a refund for the ONLY session I attended, would I attend a second when the first failed? This infuriates me.  As he stated in his reply,"MOST" of his clients do well.  I did not.  I do not appreciate his insinuation that stress was a factor.  He is correct - he has no way of assessing stress levels in a person's life, so for the gentleman to suggest that stress was the cause of not succeeding is incorrect, unacceptable and subjective.   Furthermore, congratulations to those who have done well.  I think that is wonderful but I am not other clients, we are all INDIVIDUALS.  For Dr. Flora to compare me to others is quite unfair.  As for the pre-induction seminar which I attended in 2016, I did not change my mind, so, NO, I did not leave.  I stayed with a strong conviction that I would follow his direction and program exactly as he instructed us to do and I did.  His continuous suggestions that I did not follow his program is insulting to my character.  Personal issues, present or not, do not have any weight on success or failure.  As human beings, we all have personal issues to overcome, ignore, etc.  My only issue is that I followed Mr. Flora's program exactly as he specified, including the reinforcement CD use, and I did not lose one pound.  In regards to the cost of his personal sessions, that is irrelevant.  I am thankful that I only paid $95.00 for a group session and I am maintaining my position that he offered a SERVICE, not only time.  I request a refund for the program that failed me.

Dear [redacted]:I have been holding group seminars for weight, smoking, and stress for over 35 years.  Most clients who attend the group session and use the reinforcement CD properly do very well.  Extreme levels of stress in a person's life might prevent success.  These personal issues cannot be addressed in a group situation.  Private sessions are more effective, but are costly.  I charge $250 per hour with a minimum of 90 minutes, so a client would end up spending around $400 for a private consultation and induction.  I gave a session in the Northern Neck (VA) area this past Thursday night, and clients were there because an associate who had attended previously has lost over 70 pounds.  Group sessions must be consistent where everyone hears the very same presentation.  There is no way for me to assess stress levels in a person's life, but generally the proper use of the CD will help the client override those issues.  Because [redacted] refused to email her phone number, I was not able to assist her in assessing her inability to lose weight.  This was her second attempt, so she must have felt there was an advantage to return for an additional session.  Also, after the first hour pre-induction lecture (before the actual hypnosis begins), I state that anyone who has changed their mind is able to leave at that point with their fee.  Again, I charge for the time spent in the seminar.  I maintain my position that refunds are not offered because I cannot control the client's follow-up after they leave the session.Regards,
