Rock Bottom Motors Inc Reviews (2)

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Rock Bottom Motors and 6 days later the engine blew up. I was given a C.A.R.S warranty. I called my garage and they did not deal with C.A.R.S. because of issues. I called the owner of Rock bottom Motors and he also cautioned me about the warranty he gives out for all his used [redacted]. I paid to have it towed to another garage, also skeptical about C.A.R.S. They called in the claim and I was called by C.A.R.S. and told I would have to pay for the complete tear down of the engine along with other costs. They would then decide if they would honor the claim. I called Rock Bottom again wanting some help and he said "It was ok when you drove it off the lot". I said there has to be a law against him selling me a bad vehicle and he said "I'll see you in court and hung up" I am out $2200.00.Desired Settlement: Even though he put as is, I drove the vehicle for six days under 300 miles and it broke.

Response:

The customer purchased a car from Rock Bottom Motors on October 2, 2013. As advertised, the vehicle came with a 3-month, 4500 miles [redacted] PowerTrain warranty. Prior to the purchase, Rock Bottom Motors knocked money off the selling price for repairs and other issues the customer had pertaining vehicle. At that time, we also suggested that the customer buy an extended warranty to ensure proper coverage in case anything were to go wrong with the vehicle. Furthermore, the bank ([redacted]) included the extended warranty within the loan package and the customer turned it down. The customer was adamant about not purchasing the warranty stating that he "knew a lot about [redacted] and could fix them on his own."

Review: Purchased a vehicle advertised as an Audi A4 Quattro, bought specifically for AWD capabilities.

Within 4,000 miles the vehicle broke down beyond drivability. I took it to a dealership for repairs.

Within this time frame, I repeatedly tried to contact the business. I left voice mails, wrote emails, and posted on their Facebook wall. Their voicemail message box has never been full, meaning someone is at least deleting these messages. The facebook posts, which were all of the nature "please advice on how to contact you," were deleted and the page changed to prevent others from posting, meaning it has been monitored.

Since this, I have learned that the AWD vehicle that I thought I was purchases is in fact a FWD vehicle. It was sold to me at the Kelly Bluebook Value of a AWD Quattro.Desired Settlement: I do not want this vehicle. I am not comfortable driving a FWD vehicle in this state during the winter, which is why I "bought" an AWD. This is especially true of a convertible.

I want the dealership to replace the car and/or cover the costs of all the repairs I have made to this vehicle not covered by warranty.

I would rather their business licence be pulled for fraud. If you look through their reviews, I am not the only one to have issues with this business.
