I am sorry, but I do not know how to reply to his paragraph. Once again there is nothing in his statements that is trueIf you compare this to his other complaint you will see inconsistencies in his story.He brought his machine in for service, he wanted the drive line replaced, we replaced the drive lineIt was in fact badIt is a lie that he told us any differentI told him it needed MORE work, he did not want to spendthe money, they picked it up, end of story.I never told him his machine would go 40mph. again it says right on his work order paper work the machine ran terribly.We did the work he wantedNot sure what else to say.I am not going to be bullied or threatened into giving any refundsHe paid for the work we did. The Machine needed the work we didIt does need more work.I have decided to address Mr Golemgeski's allegations one by one.In his statement he says; "I was told on the phone by him, and his parents the drive shaft had been replaced on his machine, and they knew this was not the problem" - This is a LieThey DID tell us they did the driveshaft / PTO in their other Polaris machineWhen they brought the machine in to us, there description was "the motor runs, but had no thrust / forward movement"After taking it to the water, we determined this to betrue, as the drive shaft, and PTO splines were stripped, and the machine would not goHe openly says the PTO was bad, but not the shaftThis again cannot be true. When one goes bad, so does the other.Next - He states I ran the machine on the trailer only, but told them it would go 40MPH. Again, a lie. I never said the machine would go 40MPH. I DID run it on the trailer, and never bothered to take it off thetrailer, as we knew the machine ran terribleWe could now tell the drive line was good, and the jet pump impeller was turning and loading the pump. Again the engine ran terrible. I called him to tell him it had moreissues, and that I believed it to be fuel relatedHe said he would finish fixing it him self, as they did not want to spend more money on it.The Jet ski WAS brought in on Thursday, June 2nd, and was picked up on June 8thThis is true. What is NOT true is that I told him it would be done right away! Either way, June 2nd to the 8th is less than one weekWedo not perform service work on Saturday, or SundayMy service tech helper is off on Monday's and does not come in until TuesdayWe worked on his machine Tues the 7th, and they picked it up Weds the 8th. IMO this is apretty fast turn around for a Jet Ski Shop in the middle of summerWe DID have Many other machines here as well for service, and to say that we did not again is a lieTom was not the one who dropped off the ski so I amnot sure how he knows what we had here for serviceHis mom and dad dropped it off, and they did so in the parking lot next door to my shop so I do not know how they would know how many machines were sitting here.Again this is just a made up lie trying to hurt my shops credibility.He states we did not replace the drive shaft, and in fact the shaft in the ski has a mark on it, that is still on itAm I supposed to believe, he "marked" the drive shaft secretly, and then checked it after he brought inhis machine for service? This allegation is absurd. You have to remove the drive shaft to replace the PTOAgain the splines on both were bad, and both pieces were replaced.In his statement, again Tom keeps saying I told him the machine would go 40MPH, BUT I never took the machine off the trailer (later part is true). How can I say your machine would go 40MPH when I never took it off thetrailer? This allegation is also absurdAs I said we did not take the machine off the trailer, as there was no needNow that the jet pump is actually turning, with the engine running poor, there was no need to go for a ride. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. To start off with I am not out to just get something for nothing!  I believe it is the other way around.  You were told on the phone by me and by both my parents that the drive shaft was replaced that we know that is not the problem  I do agree with the fact that the PTO was bad.  I don't have a problem paying for that.  But the matter is that, that the PTO was not causing the machine to move more than 5 mph.  When the machine was brought in to you, it was that you were suppose to figure out why the machine would not move faster then that.  It helps to take it OFF THE TRAILER AND DRIVE IT IN THE WATER...JOHN HAD STATED TO BOTH ME ON THE PHONE AND THEN TO MY PARENTS WHEN THEY PICKED IT UP THAT YOU JUST TOOK IT DOWN TO THE LAKE AND STARTED IT ON THE TRAILER AND IT RAN ROUGH. WHEN ASKED BY BOTH ME WHEN YOU CALLED AND MY PARENTS WHEN THEY PICKED IT UP YOU STATED.....IT GOES ABOUT 40 MPH BUT THE ENGINE RUNS A BIT ROUGH AND A FEW HOSES WHERE LOSE THAT NEEDED TO BE TIGHTENED.  YOU CAN'T CHECK HOW FAST IT WAS GOING IF IT IS SITTING ON A TRAILER AND I HAVE THREE DIFFERENT COMPANIES THAT STATE THE SAME THING.  THAT YOU WOULD OF KNOWN WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS RIGHT AWAY IF YOU HAD TAKEN THE JET SKI OFF THE TRAILER.  JIM MACK A REPAIR PERSON FROM SUSSEX SAID THAT HE KNEW RIGHT AWAY IT WAS THE REEDS THAT HAD TO BE BAD JUST BY TAKING IT OFF THE TRAILER AND RUNNING IT ON THE LAKE FOR A FEW MINUTES.  SO THERE IS NO WAY JOHN DID  HE JUST HAD THIS BIG THING IN HIS HEAD THAT OH HE HAS A $500 LIMIT AND HE JUST RAN THE BILL UP TO THAT RIGHT AWAY. THE JET SKI WAS BROUGHT IN ON THE MORNING OF JUNE 2ND AND PICKED UP ON THE 8TH.  HE STATED HE WOULD LOOK AT IT RIGHT AWAY ON THURSDAY MORNING AND GIVE ME A CALL.  WELL WHEN I STILL DIDN'T HEAR FROM JOHN ON MONDAY I CALLED HIM THAT AFTERNOON.  HE STATED HE HAS NOT HAD A CHANCE TO LOOK AT IT...HE GOT 7 OTHER JET SKIS IN AND WAS WORKING ON THEM.  I ASKED WHY MINE WASN'T EVEN LOOKED AT SINCE AT THAT TIME HE HAD NO OTHER JET SKI'S IN THERE.  HE CAME UP WITH THIS BIG STORY. WHEN HE FINALLY CALLED THAT HE GOT THE JET SKI DONE ON WED JOHN STATED IT WAS MOVING ATLEAST 40 MPH BUT IT NEEDED MORE WORK THAT IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND LEAKING.  THAT IT NEEDED AT LEAST ANOTHER 5 - 10 HOURS OF WORK.  TO THAT I SAID NO.  ALL I NEEDED WAS TO KNOW WHY IT WAS NOT MOVING AND HE SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE DRIVE SHAFT.  WELL THAT TOTALLY WAS NOT THE CASE BECAUSE THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS ALREADY REPLACED BEFORE THAT.  ALL JOHN DID WAS GIVE ME A DRIVE SHAFT BECAUSE THE ONE THAT WAS IN THERE WAS STILL IN THERE.  THE SAME MARKING THAT WAS ON IT BEFORE BRINGING IT IN WAS STILL ON THE ONE IN THE JET SKI.  PLUS WHEN I CALLED HIM THAT NIGHT AFTER GETTING IT BACK ON THE LAKE I CALLED AND HE DIDN'T ANSWER AND I LEFT A MESSAGE AND WHEN JOHN CALLED BACK HE CALLED MY MOTHER AND SHE EVEN TOLD HIM STRAIGHT OUT THAT HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT HE WAS ASKED TO DO.  FOR BEING A SO CALLED MACHANIC FOR OVER 20 YEARS HE HAS NO IDEA WHAT HE IS DOING OR HE IS JUST A BIG RIP OFF!  I FEEL THAT JOHN SO REFUND ME ATLEAST $250.00 BECAUSE JUST TO REPLACE THE PTO OR THE SO CALLED DRIVE SHAFT THAT HE STATES WAS REPLACED THERE IS NO WAY IT SHOULD OF TAKEN 3 HOURS.  JIM MACK DID NOT EVEN TAKE THAT LONG TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM OF THE REEDS AND TEAR THE MOTOR COMPLETELY DOWN TO REPLACE THEM.  JIM STATES HE WILL BACK ME UP ON ALL THIS IF IT ENDS UP GOING TO COURT AND THERE IS A VIDEO DOCUMENTATION SHOWING HOW LONG IT TAKES AND HOW LONG IT TOOK TO DO  ALSO IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT HIS SIGN SAYS....HIS WEBSITE SHOWS A COMPLETLY DIFFERENT THING WHICH I ATTACHED ON THE FIRST COMPLAINT.  THAT IS WHERE I WAS LOOKING AT THE PRICE BECAUSE WE NEVER TALKED ABOUT IT BEING DIFFERENT THEN THAT. I TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT HE JUST FIGURED HE WOULD MAKE A FAST $500 BY WRITING ANYTHING DOWN.  AND MY PARENTS HAD TO SIGN THE CONTRACT BECAUSE OTHER WISE THEY WOULD NOT OF BEEN ABLE TO GET THE JET SKI BACK.  BUT THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS HE STATED HE GOT IT MOVING TO 40 MPH BY REPLACING THE (DRIVE SHAFT) AND REPLACING THE PTO WHICH WAS TOTALLY FALSE!!  SO WE CAN CONTINUE OR END THIS BY MEETING HALF WAYS AND JOHN REFUNDING ME $250.00 BECAUSE CLEARLY HE DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM THAT THE JET SKI WAS BROUGHT IN FOR IN ANY MEANS.[redacted]

I have received a copy of the customers description of our service with the letter I received in the mail.  There is absolutely NOTHING in this customers statements that is true....Long story short;Mr & Mrs [redacted] brought in their son's Polaris PWC for service work. He...

has been previously working on this particular machine himself. They state the machine runs, but will only go 5 miles per hour.  After lookingat it, we determine the drive shaft splines have been stripped also damaging the splines in the PTO. This was allowing the jet pump to slip, and not propel the machine forward.  This was a VERY common problem withPolaris machines, and in fact they had a bulletin about this very issue, back in the mid 90's.I had explained this to them, and said we can fix it. They gave me a "cap" of $500 they wanted to spend - "no more".We went on to replace the drive shaft, PTO coupler, Bad seal bearing carrier, and drain plug. I had discounted the parts for them, to keep this under $500.00I also ONLY billed them at 3 hours labor, again to keep them under their $500 limit. We discussed my labor rate is $85/hr, and in fact I have a large sign here in the shop stating so. Going by memory, I think we workedon this machine for close to 4 hours.When we finished the drive line work, I took the machine again to the water to test, and it ran horribly. Now that the jet pump is actually engaging it puts more load on the engine, and many other problems wereapparent. I called them to discuss this, and they DID NOT want to spend any more money. In fact their son said he would fix all other issues himself. They just wanted me to do the drive line.I have attached a copy of the work order, with notes, and you can see where I clearly wrote the machine still runs poor, it had water hoses leaking, the exhaust pipe was loose, and more.  They signed the receipt,picked up the machine,  and left. At this time, all was OK.Days go by, and I get a phone call from them, ranting and raving on how I ripped them off, the machine still does not run, so on and so on.  I explained to them, I did the work we talked about, the machine needs morework, and they did not want to spend more money.  I told them nicely I cannot work for free.To dispute their letter to youHere are a few things I see wrong;#1 dates they claim are wrong.  I DID get their machine in right away, and you can see the date on the work order when they picked it up it was June 8th. There machine was only here for a couple of days.#2 Again when they brought their machine In and we 1st looked at it I TOLD them the drive line was stripped. This is ALL they wanted repaired. When they picked up the machine I gave them the old faulty parts. Bad driveshaft, with stripped splines, bad PTO, etc. I showed them the damage.#3 They never informed me the drive line was just replaced, this is an all out lie, and in fact see #2 again as I gave them the bad parts.#4 it is impossible to run a machine on the trailer at 40 MPH.  This comment is almost comical. I would have never said this.I take great pride in our service here, I have been in business since 1995.
