While it is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] has not had a satisfactory experience, his dealings were with an entirely separate and distinct entity.  My purchase was strictly of the hard assets and right to continue using the existing name of the busi[redacted].  I did not purchase the A/P, A/R or assume any of the responsibility or liability for the previous ownership's actions.  Providing Mr. [redacted] with the financial resolution that he is in search of, would simply be handing him money for the sake of handing him money and would be money straight out of my pocket and off of my families table and not a return of any of his money transacted with the former ownership.  I do not even know enough of the details nor am I privy to those details involving the former ownership's standpoint, to know if further compensation is warranted.  My recommendation is for Mr. [redacted] to pursue resolution with the former ownership with whom this transaction occurred.

When I registered this complaint, the website for rock n rollin had everything I said about daughter purchasing and father owned since I believe it said 1958.
The website has been changed as I saw today.
This was an issue prior and during the purchase of Rockin Rollin, the prior owner dismissed it to me when the take over happened and basically said sorry we're gone. That came from Kim.
I do believe the new owner must take some responsibility of past clients or complaints.

Review: Rock' n Rollin delivered 15 ton of Jesse Red/Saddleback Brown Rip Rap on 2/14/2014 and dumped on my driveway as directed by me. My wife Jill and I used a wheel-barrow to place all rocks around our pool area that I had prepared earlier that consisted loading the wheel-barrow by hand as rocks are to large for a shovel and dumped in areas and hand placed again so it was decorative looking. I started to notice after a few rains that the rocks were starting to break apart and turn into powder, didn't think too much about it until after every rain more and more rocks were decomposing and splitting into powder. I called Rock 'n Rollin October of 2014 and Manager Nick came out to my home on11/5/2014 and looked at rocks. Nick commented to me more than once he never saw anything like this before and asked to take some rocks with him and also took pictures. Nick said he would call me back when he got some more information of what was the cause of this. Nick called back and asked if I ever played the lottery because he said the owner of the quarry told him I won it as this only happens maybe once in 20-25 years plus. I was then told that this is caused from an area formed that was cooled faster than other areas of the mountain and the area didn't cure at the same rate and rain caused the rock to split.

Nick and I came to terms of having someone come out and pick all 15 ton up, take away, replace with another 15 ton of Saddleback Brown. Office manager Kim took care of all the arrangements. This all happened on 3/11/2015, had some problems with installers operation but I was good with that and had expected it. I replaced all rock by hand again so it was decorative and I expected that also. All was good until the first rain and I believe this rock cracked faster than the original 15 ton. I contacted Kim at Rock' n Rollin on 4/27/2015 and told her the problem and please have Nick come out and look again because the quarry sent me the same material and decomposing faster than before. Kim said she would call me back.

The next week a got a knock at the door and said he was Sam and here for Rock' n Rollin and we went back to look at the rocks, he said there was nothing wrong with these rocks as it happens to all rocks of any variety. He said we could get on our hands and knees and count these rocks as only 1 out of 100 are bad. He said this with a temper. I asked him if he came just to argue with me and he started to walk away and then he turned around and came back and told me all rocks do this including Jesse Red/Saddleback Brown stone. I told him that Nick told me that the owner of the quarry said I hit the jackpot because it only happens every 20 years plus. Then he told me he is the one that said that because he is a geologist and owner of the quarry. He said he won't pay me but I should get some compensation and Nick would let me know. We walked around some more and said a lot of these rocks have iron in them and will crumble and we even stepped on rocks that disintegrated under our feet. I believe Sam misrepresented Rock' n Rollin by not b[redacted]g honest when he came to the door. Hadn't heard from Kim or Nick and I called 5/2, Kim said she called me the same day as Sam was here and left a voicemail. I never received a voicemail, she said she talk would talk with Nick and get back to me on the following Tuesday. 5/28 Kim said Sam would give me 2 boulders for my yard and told I her I need the cost for removal and replacement of the rocks, and rocks from another quarry and asked her to please send Nick out to my home to look. she called 6/9 and said Nick bowed out of this as he's only working about an hour a day and semi retired and she is manager now and Sam will still give me 2 boulders, said I still didn't want them and I would send her video to look at and if she would come out and look.

6/12 Kim said Nick would reimburse me for the rocks but they can't afford to pay to remove and r[redacted]stalled. That's when I sent video as she wouldn't come out to look.

7/30 I called Kim as she hasn't returned calls and Rock' N Rollin won't except my emails now. Kim said they just sold Rock' n Rollin and said Nick and Joe(original owner) said they decided they won't pay me anything now. I asked Kim if that's why she hasn't called back or let me email anymore. She said she was going to call me today or tomorrow as she didn't have an answer before. Said Sam won't do anything now and I told her I didn't expect to him to as I bought the rocks from you not him. Kim said she'd call back but never has.

I looked on the Rock' n Rollin's website and yes they did sell but they sold to Joe's daughter and Joe is still involved it says!

I believe this is very dishonest on Rock' n Rollin's part and I should be compensated for removal and installation of the 15 tons of rock. I need the rock from a different quarry.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded money for removal and r[redacted]stallation of 15 tons of Jesse Red/Saddleback Brown Rip Rap and 15 tons of Jesse Red Saddleback Brown Rip Rap.
