Vinyl siding damaged during roof tear off with tar over numerous panels Tar removed but left sheen wipe marks and after hand cleaning and two power washes the siding issue remains Owner does not follow through in responding to letters about the problem, but his rep offered a hand washing as per written agreement that if power washing that other avenues would be pursued if power washing was unsuccessful If hand cleaning and two power washes did not solve the problem a hand wash would definitely not solve the problem Asked for the company to refer the matter to their insurance company for siding repair with no response Consequently, would strongly urge future customers to think twice about a roof tear off from Rock Roofing

I've had Rock Roofing install at least roofs at various investment properties His work is ridiculously fast and impeccable You will not find another company that can match his level of workmanship for the price Every roof was tore off, cleaned up and re shingled in one day I've never had to call him back to fix anything, its always been done right the first time

Dear Sir,
Please review the attached contract agreement between us and Rock Roofing, which was signed on March 14, 2014, before the work started. Please add this to our first document, which was the proposal, submitted to you with our complaint. This shows that he defaulted on both the proposal and agreement.
Please acknowledge  receipt.
Thank you.

Review: Rock Roofing came to see the roof and made a proposal to us on March 13, 2014. We accepted the proposal and signed a contact with on March 19th. This contact stated the work is warranteed for 20 years. Roof repair work started the same day. On March 20th the first check for $1500.00 Check#[redacted] was given to the roofer. The work was finished on March 21,2014 and two checks were issued #[redacted] in the amount of $100.00 and ck#[redacted] in the amount of $2000.00, both checked dates March 24, 2014. On March 28, I noticed that the rear section of the roof was leaking through the canopy, the edge of the canopy through the soffit and at the junction between the canopy and the building walls. I called the roofer on March 28th at 12:15 pm to report the problem and asked him to fix the leak and left a message. He did not respond on this day (Friday) or the next day. I Placed another call on Monday March 31, I inspected the roof and found that the perimeter of the roof in the rear section was not repaired as stated in him proposal: no membrane or mopping or cement, it was just painted with aluminum roof coating. I called him and left a message at 11:28 am on the answering machine. At 11:33 I called again from another phone and spoke to [redacted] and she stated that she would let him know and they would get back to me. I called [redacted] on 4/1 or 4/2/2014, the online website who recommended Rock Roofing, speaking to [redacted] who made notes about the problem and agreed to contact the roofer and would assign the case to an agent with reference#[redacted]. They advised if there was no response by Monday that they would start the complaint process. On 4/3/2014 I received an email from [redacted] at Rock Roofing apologizing for the delay and confirming that roofer would come on 4/4/2014 to fix the problem. No one has come or called or contacted me in any way until today. On Monday 4/7/2014 I called [redacted] and spoke to [redacted] who stated she contacted Rock Roofing and has not received an answer. I spoke to [redacted] today and she also stated they have received no response and advised me to file a complaint with you for breach of contract, poor workmanship and fraud. As a final effort I called Rock Roofing today at 1:30pm and got an answering machine. I left a final message for him to honor the contract. The latest email copied to us today from [redacted] stated that they have failed to get a response from Rock Roofing since April 2. We have copies of the proposal, the contract, the checks, the emails from Rock Roofing, photos of the unrepaired section of the roof, a video of the rear section leaking. These are available and can be sent upon request.Desired Settlement: Refund $1500 for the rear section that was not repaired as agreed. Refund the value of the 20 year warrantee that could not be maintained for even 20 days. We have hired a contractor to finish the job he left behind. All documents, pictures and videos are available upon request.
