I am rejecting this response because: This is a faulty roof and the installation was a joke The business should admit to this and should have done everything possible to rectify the issuesAfter installation last May, the first leak surfaced at the end of the summerBusiness came out and replaced the ridge row and fixed that issueWithin a year the second leak occured after a snow stormBusiness came out times and simply applied caulking around the leaking ventThere was, and never has been condensation in the atticAfter the leak continued, business was dumbfounded and said they've done all they canI contacted another roofer who came out and asked why they hadn't tried replacing the vent (a logical next step)Roofer replaced the vent and as a precaution I had them replace all roof vents with a better quality ventThis was an out of pocket expense and a simple, logical fixDuring the winter (still within a year of installation) I noticed water leaking from around two guttersEarly in the summer, I contacted a gutter company who indicated it was a roof issueAfter informing the business and on two occasions they finally came over to have a lookAs usual, owner said it was wasn't his issue and the roof was fineHe informed me he could get a hose and try to figure out the issue but it would be an extra costMy roof had no leaking issues until Rock Roofing replaced itOnce again, I guess all of these issues are coincidences? I'm not looking for reconciliation from this company because the response will be the same, "it's not our fault or I don't know how to fix it"
Sincerely,

Rock’s Roofing, Inchas tried in earnest to remedy the complaints of Mr***Since the installation, we have answered his calls and have been back to his house numerous times to address his complaintsWe asked him to call us immediately when the problem was happening so that we could come directly to check it outHe did not call while it was leakingThis month we tried to talk to him on the phone about the issues and he hung up on us Again, Rock’s Roofing, Incinstalled the new roof in May of We did not repair or replace any guttersThe final roofing inspector did not note any problems with the flashing as stated by the gutter company*** believes that the water over the gutter is due to the spikes and farrows in the gutterThere is nothing different in the valleys that would change the water distributionAnd *** believes that the previous leak was condensation in the attic that was alleviated with the additional vents that the other roofer installedAttached are the pictures of the vents and the gutters

I am rejecting this response because:Completely false, I did contact *** while the roof was leakingThis was after his 3rd attempt to fix the leak*** said, "he just couldn't figure out why the roof was still leaking" and said he didn't what to do? I had had enough and let him know I would be contacting another roofer to fix the issue so no need to come outWhile troubleshooting the leak, (keep in mind this was the second leak from the faulty roof) both *** and myself crawled into the ceilingNot once did either of us see condensation in the attic nor was there a mentionThe leak was clearly coming from the roof ventThe independent roofing contractor I hired simply replaced the old roof vent with a better quality vent and fixed the leakAs a precaution, I had the installer replace ALL vents with the better quality ventsNOT because of condensation in the roof. As as far as the gutter issueThis issue surfaced during the first winter after the new roof was installedI noticed throughout the winter, when snow would melt ice would form below the gutter in two spots (which had never been a problem in the past)As soon as early summer rolled around I contacted a gutter company to fix the issueThis company said there was a flashing issue and possibly gutter damage which may have been done during the new roof installationInstead of paying the gutter company I called *** again, roughly mid summerFinally, at the end of summer and after the second call he came outAs predicted, *** said it wasn't his issue, but that he could try to remedy the problem*** informed me he could get a hose and troubleshoot the issue, but it would cost meAt this point I was frusted and simply done with Rock RoofingEspecially after having to pay someone else to fix his errorsNot to mention the water damage to the drywall in my house.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Rock's Roofing installed *** *** roof in May of About year later, he called with a leakThe leaking areas that the customer was having through the roof as I tried to explain to him on more than one occasion was possible condensation in the atticRock's Roofing went out to
his property times to assess the problemWe never saw it leaking in the times we were out to check on it. The other roofer that he hired installed additional attic vents which did solve the problem. Therefore, as I mentioned to the customer, the additional venting in the roof relieved the vapor inside the atticThe leaking stoppedI tried to tell the customer that it was the condensation in the attic repeatedly to no avail*** just called recently to complain about water flowing over the top of the guttersThe leaking along the gutter in the back was not due to the valleys, the valleys were installed properly and all metal flashings were installed properlyThe building inspector did pass this roof after the installation with no corrections. I took pictures of the areas in question yesterday and offered to show them to the customer and explain that we performed all roofing procedures properlyHe did not want to see the pictures and hung up the phoneI have not been able to contact the customer sinceA year and a half has gone by since the new roof was installed and he just recently called regarding the guttersThe gutter issue is most likely the gutter spikes (fasteners) that hold up the gutterThere are different methods of fastening gutters. The new method that does not leak uses hidden hangersHe has the old method called spikes and farrows. We did not replace any gutters with the new roofThese were already on the gutter
