Greetings A-1 Towing Respondent, I will not be calling you due to the Revdex.com processes, but I appreciate this offer. In regard to your response, I find it suspicious you all cannot match my account of what transpired to the video and voice footage recorded. It’s even more unsettling when I consider the alternate courses of action that could have transpired. I mean, how do you all record roadside assistance tow service or individuals repossessing property? I’m quite concerned with your business practices. However, your inability to match my account to your records does fit the troublesome observations I shared. For instance, you may have better luck using the incorrect name on the invoice – “[redacted]” dated September 15, 2016. Tow time looks like 100pm, but 115 is written below as well. Under a mileage block I see “@ 1:31pm.” I don’t drive a model or make that has high theft so theft wasn’t the first concern that came to mind until the phone representative took so long to confirm my vehicle was on a tow truck or at the lot. Once at the impound lot, the woman shared that all autos are called in to police at the time of towing to prevent mistakes of theft for towing. Since writing Revdex.com, I’ve contacted the property about your claims I was in violation. As your driver will probably attest – any signs at this property are small, very aged, and difficult to read due to missing words and faded content. The property did not deny my observations of their signs.

Hello, Regarding this claim; it was denied for the following reasons:  We are not required to check with front desk prior to towing any vehicle from the property in which this vehicle was towed. Secondly,  It is not possible for this type of damage to occur while towing a vehicle. If...

the windshield is damaged and the owner is unaware, then we believe the vehicle may have been vandalized. For this reason, we denied the claim. Thanks,A-1 Towing###-###-####

I am rejecting this response because:The car was operating normally when it was parked the night before being towed...as witnessed by myself and my passenger. When it was picked up the next morning there was damage to the undercarriage and the steering was out of alignment. As the only person(s) handling the vehicle from the time it was parked until I picked it up was A-1 towing...the damage clearly had to occur during the tow or when it was delivered at the yard. A-1's explanation assumes they handled the car correctly when it was towed and delivered to the yard...which clearly it wasn't.Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:  I do not accept that their personnel did not access my car and hide my paid permit in order to extort $185.00 from me.  A-1 Towing claims  their personnel undergo background checks and act ethically.  By holding to this position, they are directly attacking my integrity, which as a career Air Force and Defense Department intelligence officer, has been the foundation of my ability to gain and maintain a top security clearance for over 36 years, and verified by multiple periodic security background investigations dating back to 1980.  I applied the same practices and procedures to securing and displaying my parking permit that I have used successfully for over 36 years with security badges and facility passes.  While I recognize that this issue boils down to my word against theirs.  Their photographs (not provided to me) of my car without a permit proves nothing since they admit they had access to the interior of my car, and thus could have taken the photos after hiding the permit.  Given that there are over 50 complaints of such actions by A-1 Towing on the Revdex.com and Yelp.com web sites, I believe there is ample precedent of their improper business procedures.Regards,

Hello Mr. [redacted],  At this time, we feel that a refund is not necessary. [redacted] gives residents permits for the sole purpose of displaying them in the vehicle at ALL TIMES WHILE PARKED ON THE PROPERTY. A-1 Towing does not have access to any of the records kept in a log...

book located in the management office.There are signs at the entrances to the property that state "Permit Parking, Towing at Owner's Expense." It is a serious allegation to state that we would enter your vehicle and relocate your permit with the sole purpose of towing it.   All of our drivers undergo a background screening through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice and are licences to operate in the state as Tow Operators.  Our drivers take their job seriously and have families to provide for.  There is no way the any of our drivers would risk supporting their family over your $185.00.  Its just not worth it.  Attached are photos of your vehicle that show that there was not permit present. We even go the extra mile and photograph the front seat areas to prove we checked the floor board areas just in case the permit slipped off the dash. At this time, we will not be issuing a refund.
