Our Response to Revdex.com Complaint #[redacted]On November 9, 2016, prior to her initial tour of our venue our “FAQ’s & Additional Information” was sent via email to Ms. [redacted] in which our basic terms and our method of operations are described.One question in our “FAQ’s & Additional Information”...
is “What is your payment schedule?” The response is:A non-refundable fee of 50% of the venue rental cost and a signed contract agreement is required to hold the reservation date. Package additions and menus are to be determined within 90 days from the signed contract date, at which time the remaining venue balance and ½ payment of package additions is due. Final package payments are due with damage deposits one month prior to event date with the guaranteed guest head-count for catering and seating purposes.Ms. [redacted] signed her “Venue Only Agreement” on November 22, 2016.The terms and conditions that Ms. [redacted] refers to are only our “Rockin’ TJ Ranch Venue Use Policies & Conditions”. This describes cleaning, decoration, and alcohol policies along with safety items.On the venue agreement, the number of guests is listed at “80-120”. The “Bundle Contract” that was sent to Ms. [redacted] was clearly labeled as a “1st draft” of the costs of linens, table settings, catering, staffing, DJ, hair stylist, baby sitters, and votive candles. As the guest head count would not be final until 30 days prior to her event, these numbers were estimated at the higher end stated on the venue agreement to allow the bride to adjust her guest list if the budget required her to do so. This is an industry standard policy for all clients.The Rockin’ TJ Ranch has a list of preferred vendors as most venues do. As we have a fully licensed and insured caterer’s kitchen, we do not allow outside caterers. Other than that, our guests are allowed to use any vendor that they wish. Our “1st draft” includes line items for DJ and Limo Service but again, as this was a draft these line items would be removed if we were advised that she would be using vendors not on our Preferred Vendor List. We also provide rental tableware, etc at competitive rates. If the bride wishes different size, shape, color, etc she can rent them from a vendor of her choosing.Our response to Ms. [redacted] cancellation on 2/11/17 was to immediately issue a refund following the cancelation policy from “Venue Only Agreement” which states “If the event is canceled, there is no refund of the fee deposit.”I have reviewed all of our correspondence with Ms. [redacted] and feel every piece of communication has been handled in a professional and courteous manner. We wish her all the best.
