Review: Bus company always shows up 15-30 minutes after schedule despite posted schedule and even when the roads are clearDesired Settlement: I would like the dollars that I have paid for my monthly passes ($160) refunded to me .
Review: I was waiting for the 1:05 pm 20 bus on Friday August 15th from 12:40 to 2:05 from Port Authority. 20 minutes after 1pm I called and found out that there had been a mechanical issue with the bus. We were given no warning that the bus would be late. Another 20 bus (bus 8844) was there in the Port Authority. Another rider went to the driver and asked if he knew about the problem and would be assuming his route. He did know but he answered that he had another 30 minutes before his next route and no he would not be assuming that route (I confirmed this by asking the driver myself when I boarded). I called Rockland to find out if they would be sending another bus, they said it would take 30 minutes to get there. Now, what could have happened was that the 20 bus that was there in Port Authority could have taken everyone waiting for the 1pm bus while the new bus could have made it by 2pm. However, instead I had to wait for an hour and 20 minutes on my feet because Rockland did not feel the need to spend the additional money to send a new bus. Therefore I am entitled to a rebate of my round trip fare. Had I known I would be waiting that long I would have found other means of transportation to NJ.
I called the number the driver of the bus gave me. The people at the number told me to speak with [redacted] who is out on vacation but had a backup named[redacted]. I called [redacted] and left a message for him to call me back. I followed up two days later after not hearing from him with another message. He still never called me or answered my call.Desired Settlement: I would want a refund for the round trip I took and two additional ticket for the lack of communication from Rockland Coaches.
