I am rejecting this response because: The company told me the blood work would be free in the first place so I won't pat anybody on the back for doing what they were supposed to in the first place. Secondly, This and the CMA complaint I am filing are also due to the fact that I was abruptly cut off from 3 mg of Xanax a day which is dangerous. It was a long time after a dirty drug test was received before I heard any news that my prescriptions were being cancelled, as well as the fact that I have always told the office that I occasionally smoke marijuana in my charts. From Jan. 28th- Feb. 28th I received no help except for on two occasions the woman at the pharmacy desk, [redacted], gave me sarcastic and rude MEDICAL advice and I was not able to talk to my doctor for that whole month after repeated attempts, to simply ask how to ween off of the dangerously high dosage of medication. I ended up in the ER, that's where [redacted] told me I would end up and she was right.

Review: I am a college student and positive active member of the community who suffers from mental health crisis. I have been seeing Dr. [redacted] for over a year and he has always been a fine doctor but the staff are out of line. Dr. [redacted] told me at an appointment in September 2014 that my upcoming appointment in December I would be eligible for a drug analysis included in the charge of my appointment. He forgot in December to mention it so I asked if he still wanted to take blood because he had convinced me it was mostly for the doctors benefit, as they were supposed to be monitoring my blood all along yet they never had before and I had been seeing him for a year by this time. I called the office to tell them I got a bill from LabCorp for the blood test I was told was free. Two weeks later, I went to a pharmacy to pick up my prescription "[redacted]" and the pharmacy said my doctor's office cancelled it so I gave them a call. They stated there was cannabis in my system though I had told them I used cannabis on occasion when I'm in Colorado. The pharmacy desk woman [redacted] was extremely rude the entire time and I told her you can't abruptly stop a persons medication which can lead to seizures and death. Her response word for word was, "yep, you'll probably end up having a seizure or in the ER". I then called back to talk to Dr. [redacted] personally about the matter and [redacted] wouldn't allow me to get through to my own doctor. This time [redacted] answered again and then told me, "you can't have withdraws from [redacted]". I told the office that I was going to report them and they reluctantly called and gave me a 14 day supply of [redacted]; I told them I am finding another doctor. I cited the CMA guidelines: See California Medical Association (CMA) guidelines in regard to terminating the doctor/patient relationship. Yet They have done none of the three requirements, and the guidelines clearly state 15 days worth of emergency medication but they only gave me 14 days. Please review this, thank you.-[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the LabCorp bill paid for the blood test. I never even saw the results of the blood work. The doctor said it was free and gave me the impression it was for the doctor's knowledge.
