Tell us why hereDear Revdex.com, I have received the customer concern regarding Rocklin Road Animal Hospital. I apologize for the length of the response but I feel it is important for you and your readers to hear the complete story. The following is a
description of the events that lead to this customer concern Last June, Ms*** brought us two strays dogs and asked us to find homes for them. We gladly took on the responsibility of these two dogs, which meant we would care for them for as long as it took to find them homes. We weren’t required to do this but as a veterinary hospital that believes your pets “are part of your family” we were happy to do so. Ms*** made it clear that she was unable to keep the dogs to find homes for them. We don’t normally take in dogs to rehome but Ms*** seemed to be in such need that we took on the challenge. We are a Veterinary Hospital, not an animal rescue, animal control or SPCAPlease note we get nothing from this. In fact it costs the business time and money to help out in this way. Ms*** claims she gave us almost $via credit card for vet bills for these two stray dogs and that we kept her money. Actually, Ms*** graciously gave us $for one dog and $for the other. We have sent her copies of her receipt twice to clarify this. We have asked her to send us any receipt she might have that would show otherwise but she has failed to produce any evidence She claims we charged her credit card $but refuses to show us a statement to prove this. I returned the $to Ms*** because she wasn’t happy that we returned this dog to his owner. I have no idea how she came to the figure of $ The day she donated money for the two stray dogs she paid a total of $535.99, $of which was for services on her owns two dogs, the remainder for the two stray dogs (please see invoice). One of the stray dogs was limping and needed x-rays and further care. Ms*** refused to help pay for that or any care beyond the initial exam, one night boarding, one vaccine and flea/tick prevention (recorded in medical record). Rather than refusing to give treatment and sending Ms*** and the stray dogs she found away, we spent over $of our own money plus time to care for these stray dogs that she brought us. We found a wonderful new home for one dog and reunited the grateful owner and his young son with the other Ms*** did not help us find homes for the dogs. My staff spent the time doing that. In fact, Ms*** didn’t enquire about the dogs until she was at our hospital to care for her own dog, months later. During that visit, when she learned that we returned one do to his owner, she stormed out of the hospital refusing to talk with my staff or me. The rumor about the owner wanting to shoot his dog is simply that, a rumor made up by an estranged girlfriend. If Ms*** had been involved in rehoming these dogs she would know that. When the actual owner came forward we reunited the stray dog with his owner, following instructions from the police department. The owner showed us proof of ownership and veterinary receipts showing his care for his dog. Ms*** did report this incident to the Animal Control, they investigated it and found that the dog was not in a dangerous or abusive environment. Animal Control called us to tell us this. I have made multiple telephone calls to Ms***, leaving messages on her machine to please call me so we can talk this out. She hasn’t returned my calls. I have sent her letters attempting to clarify the situation. I have done all I can to try and resolve this dispute. The only contact Ms*** has made since she stormed out of our hospital, are periodic telephone calls to my receptionist. She has made multiple threats to my receptionists but won’t speak to me. Her threats are "pay me $or else things will get ugly" Now it’s $she wants. Please know that we have repeatedly asked Ms*** to produce receipts that show we owe her more money. She claims in a yelp review that we charged her credit card but won’t send us a copy of the receipt or statement. Of course, if she could show me that we collected more money than the $for the stray dog that we reunited with his owner I would refund that money to her. We have examined our invoices carefully and find no such charge to her credit card nor do we find any payment from her to us except for the $mentioned above. As far as not asking the owner to pay for his vet bill, we can’t legally do that because he didn’t authorize the charges. Instead, we just paid for the service out of our own pockets (since we refunded Ms***’s original donation). Sadly, this entire incident has soured me to further good Samaritan works. I’m not sure what I will do if and when another client brings me a stray dog to find a home for. Unfortunately, sending them off to animal control would be easiest for us but puts a greater burden on that overworked organization. I've attached the two letters and receipts for Ms***. Respectfully,Dr***

We have sent a Deed to Elko County for [redacted] and Crystal W[redacted] property on 5/29.  Still have not recieved the recorded document back.  Have been trying to call Elko County Recorder today at [redacted] it rings busy.  The website is also down.
I will keep trying and update you...

as soon as I get the status.
Thank You

We have Tell us why here...

Review: Two dogs appeared on our property in really bad shape. We took them to Dr. [redacted]. One of the dogs was microchipped and they called the owner. The owner told [redacted]'s vet tech that her husband had beaten her severely and threatened to shoot both animals. She said he was in jail and that they were relinquishing ownership of the dogs. [redacted] asked me to pay the vet bills which I did in the amount of $ 684.74. We all worked hard to find adoptive homes for the pets and did.

A few months later I brought my own animals to the clinic and asked how the dogs were doing in their new homes. [redacted]s office informed me that they had given Titus back to the owner who beat his wife and threatened to kill the dogs. I was very upset by this obviously. Not only did he give the dog back to a violent man who threatened to shoot his own dog, but he kept my money and did not ask the "owner" to pay his vet bill. I have contacted Dr. [redacted]s office three times requesting that he return my money. He returned$ 148.75 with a letter basically accusing me of being cheap.

I reported the animal abuse to Placer County.Desired Settlement: Dr. [redacted] needs to return all of my money. I'm also going to file a complaint with the veterinary board for endangering the animal. Dr. [redacted] does not seem to understand what went wrong here. He should never have returned an animal to a home with domestic violence and a man that threatened to shoot the animal. The dog needs to be rescued from the home.
