Review: Charlie T[redacted] is not a registered contractor, and has been paid $10,656 to refinish the interior of my indoor pool. Charlie quit showing up, and has not been to my house in over a month. Charlie disappeared once before for almost two months. Charlie told me that it would only take him 2 weeks to finish the project, and he still has not finished 6 months later. In May of this year, Charlie told me that he needed an additional $2,000 towards the final balance that I would owe him upon completion, or he would not be able to finish my pool, because he could not afford the product to finish it. I begrudgingly gave him the the $2,000, and then he quit showing up. Charlie has his children who are under the age of 16 working for him. The product that Charlie used to refinish my pool is not rated for underwater use, and the company will not provide a warranty on it. My pool is ruined, and is now going to require additional money to be fixed. Charlie's employees who worked for him have contacted me because they want him to pay them, and he has not paid them for the work they did at my house.

Since I have worked with Charlie, I have learned that he was also operating under a company called 814 Restore (they have a very bad Revdex.com rating). Had I known about his 814 Restore reviews on the Revdex.com, I would have never conducted business with him.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of all my money paid to Charlie T[redacted]. He ruined my pool, and the floor around my pool, and I will have to completely redo everything that he did. He has wasted 6 months of my time, and I want a refund of $10,656.

I have supporting documentation, that I am happy to provide to the Revdex.com to resolve my complaint should they require it.

Review: Had contract with 814 Restore dated 6/19/13. Made payment of $19,000 to him with him cashing the check 7/2/13. He did not start the work except for cement pad finally started in July 2013 never completing the sealing of cement until the landscaping part with rocks and dirt remaining still. Never heard from him again with him always stating that I didn't have material but there was so much work needed completed according to the contract that never was started. Called him again in January as work couldn't be completed in winter. Then with him finally starting work in the kitchen April 14, 2014 working on electrical wiring that has never been completed either along with cupboards being installed incorrectly and having damage from drilling in the new porcelain tile and having no electricity in parts of the upstairs main living floor. Then started finally to install the metal roof with it raining causing damage to the garage insulation becoming wet and damage to the flakeboard ceiling in the garage. He said he was repairing that and ripped down parts of the boards and messing again the lighting/electrical in the garage and never returning to complete. He then worked on installing the roof over the front porch and main house with it being incomplete at this time along with roof on the 2nd garage and soffit/facia and windows. We have lived for months with no kitchen/electricity. He has had the $19,000 for more than a year and only working here at my home for approximately 12 days never a complete day. He stored the metal in the yard all winter last year then was planning on using it. Another contractor stopped and informed me that the warranty would be void as you do not store metal out in the weather then with grass growing up around it as it causes white rust which is not covered with the warranty. I informed him of this and he denied knowing this then agreed to use new metal hoping that he did. When he removed the white rust metal from the yard he left ruts in the yard again causing damage. Please 3Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the amount as I have tried to contact him for weeks with no return call to me. He has caused damage to my home and has used my money already. He has caused so much worry and stress to me and my family I do not want this to occur to others. I would accept to have the work finished but feel the quality lacks by far. They always left a mess and he always has an excuse usually blaming me. His lack of providing a service he charges for needs corrected. Please help

Review: In May of 2012, I hired [redacted] of 814 Restore and [redacted] to install a complete metal roof on my business. Later that year I realized as I was up in my attic there was no ridge vent installed under the metal roof cap on the entire roof. I contacted Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] and told them about this. Mr. [redacted] proceeded to insist that the ridge vent was installed until I proved to him otherwise. Mr. [redacted] said that he would install the ridge vent. It has been over a year and a half since my roof was installed and every time it snows I accumulate snow on my rafters in my attic which then melts and is rotting my rafters and ruining my ceiling.

In Sept. Of 2012 My wife and I hired [redacted] of 814

RESTORE from St Benedict Pa. and [redacted] to construct a home on my

property. We agreed on a contracted price and construction got underway. The

building process eventually started slowing and in Sept. of this year it

stopped even though the scheduled payments were made on time. I also agreed on

a contracted price for an attached garage with a down payment. The contracted

agreement complete date was supposed to be Aug. of 2013. It has now been close

to a year and a half and I now have a home that is 90% paid for and only 60%

completed. Mr. [redacted] will not answer my phone calls. I'm 85 years old and I

would like to enjoy my new home.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my ridge vent installed that I already paid for

I would like my home finished now or refund the difference.

Review: 814 Restore put a metal roof on my house in May of 2014. From the time that it was installed, we have had leak problems. They returned twice to try to fix the problem early last summer but the leaks continued. I made numerous phone calls and sent several emails to the owner with no response. Finally in October, I finally got a response back and they returned to try and fix the problem. Over the winter, I noticed that water was still leaking in the problem area and I also noticed that water was running under the metal and on top of the insulation barrier that was installed prior to the metal. Instead of water running off of the roof, it runs on top of the insulation and then down the fascia board. This is causing the fascia board to rot. After further inspection, I noticed that the metal roofing does not extend the whole way to the edge of the roof. It stops about 2 inches from the edge. I also noticed that the roofing on the main part of the house was installed crooked. Number one, it looks bad and number 2, it is channeling the water to the side of the roof and down the fascia instead of the water running down and off of the roof. I contacted the owner again in April 2015 and he was supposed to return and fix the problem during the third week of April. He never showed and never called. I sent another email and also called again but have not gotten any response to this dateDesired Settlement: We want our roof repaired correctly ASAP. This has been going on for over a year. If 814 restore does not want to fix it correctly, we would like to have a refund for that section of roof so that we can get another contractor to finish the job correctly.

Review: I hired 814restore last year to put a new roof on for me. He insisted on cash for the down payment. He told me it would take 2-3 days for them to do my roof. It took 2 half days. I called the same.day it was finished and complained about the way that it lined up. He came out and looked at it told me they would fix it come spring. I did not understand why I had.to wait till spring. All along he was insisting on the other half of my payment. The contract we signed stated I had 30 days after I was completely satisfied. Well I'm still not satisfied. They put the rain barrier in the wrong place. Took my rain gutters with them and never brought them back.the drip edge is wrong and keeps getting clogged. Rediculousness! Do not use. Very unprofessional . Leaks and is ruining other parts of the house. As a single disabled parent he should be very ashamed of himself. It took everything I had to save up to get the roof to begin with. Now I can't get it fixed.Desired Settlement: I want enough to fix my roof correctly by someone else. This guy's a joker

Review: I hired 814 restore to install a metal roof on my house an gave them $13,500 at contract signing for the roof materials. The roof was supposed to be completed by August of 2014. The roof was never started and the materials were never delivered to my house as agreed to by the owner of 814 restore Mr. [redacted]. Mr [redacted] will not return calls or text messages and will not answer his phone.Desired Settlement: I want 814 restore to refund my $13,500.
