My name is [redacted] I’m the General Manager from Rockstar Rides located at 1036 S Santa Fe Ave Vista Ca 92084. I’m writing back to you because one of our prospect buyer, Mr. [redacted] A Sallee has filed a complaint against our company. Our assigned ID is [redacted]. Mr [redacted] came to our dealership...

April 4th 2016, he came with another friend of his to look at some vehicles. Mr. [redacted] was assisted by one of our Senior Sales rep Mr. [redacted] which did a great job, by treating Mr. [redacted] with much respect and did not rush him to purchase any vehicle against Mr. [redacted] will. Mr [redacted] was really interested in our 2010 Dodge Challenger which the price was $20000.32, our sales man tried to have Mr [redacted] walk away from that car, because Mr. [redacted] kept on saying that the car was a bit pricey. So Mr. [redacted] told Mr. [redacted] that we had much more cars in our lot at a more affordable price, however Mr. [redacted] was in loved and stuck with this vehicle. He wanted to get approve regardless. So with that being said our senior sales rep got him approved with [redacted], since they gave 0 down on approved credit for military. We are very transparent here at Rockstar Rides, we are not like other dealerships that take advantage of military. For one, we do give out not just one, but two vehicle history reports, (NMVITIS, & Auto Check) and had the customer sign the history reports. We also gave him copies of every document, like I mentioned before we disclose everything to our buyers, we don’t have any lemon cars, nor salvage. We take good care of all military including civilians. That’s why we are selected to be in the military magazine, which will be distributed to all the barracks like [redacted], Navy Base, etc. We are also True Car certified dealership. After the day of Mr. [redacted] purchase, I believe he just had what we call buyer’s remorse. The problem of all of this is that in California there is no coolling off period. Also we offer a 48 hour contract cancellation form for a purchase, which Mr. [redacted] also declined to purchase. He was approved with [redacted], we don’t choose his APR, or term on his loan, [redacted] chooses that. Once the contract is signed, and the approval has been faxed over to our office with our company name on it. It is a binding contract, the only reason he did not take his vehicle, is because he did not have money to insure it, by law we cannot let a vehicle leave the lot without proper insurance. However after the deal was done and signed, Mr. [redacted] command and corporal starting calling us harassing us, saying that what we had committed was fraud, when even their legal department said our paperworkwas clean. He just had buyer’s remorse, but the problem here is that again there is no cooling off period and Mr. [redacted] has cancelled his check from his bank institution, which is now FRAUD, since he breached our contract. At the moment this is all taken care of with our legal department, and we will serve Mr. [redacted], for breaching our contract. We do clean business and we are not here to harm anyone in any possible way, shape or form. However we are not in a military base either, so we cannot tell any of our prospect buyers’ what to buy, since we are a used car dealership and we are here to sell cars. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. Respectfully,

Leah, this is an unfortunate situation. The financing company Security National Auto Acceptance Company would not take the documents provided by the customer [redacted]. They said that these documents did not look authentic. However, we are in the business to sell cars/trucks and motorcycles we were upset because I personally made it a point to call DFAS Clevand and verify his enlistment. I called and verified with his Petty Officers, I called and verified with his command and the customer is 100% correct. Security National Auto Acceptance Company then put him on the company "do not lend list" despite the fact that Rockstar Rides provided several proof over and over from separate entities. We are extremely disappointed in the finance company because I personally was in the military and his documents were verified by us and also we worked beyond the scope of duty by calling a bunch of  different verifications.
