Review: [redacted], THE OWNER OF THE STORE SHOULD HAVE GIVEN BACK TO ME THE REMAINING MONEY THAT WAS LEFT OVER AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE SPECIAL ORDER BLINDS. MY HUSBAND WIRED HIM 1,850.00$, THE BLINDS WERE 1,296.80$. THEN, MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY SOME DAYS LATER AFTER THE WIRE. HE PASSED AWAY ON 9 SEPT. 2013. THEN, [redacted] TRIED TO TELL ME THAT THE RODS WERE SPECIAL ORDER AND CHARGED ME FOR THEM AFTER I HAD CALLED AND TOLD HIM TO STOP THE ORDER AFTER MY HUSBANDS DEATH. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT I DID NOT WANT THE RODS. MY HUSBAND AND I HAD STOPPED THE ORDER ON THE MATERIAL FOR THE CURTAINS DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE--THE SALES LADY BY THE NAME OF [redacted] SHOWED US ONLY THE MOST EXPENSIVE MATERIAL THAT THEY HAD. WE FELT VERY UNEASY WITH THAT. HE ALSO SENT ME THE FINIALS WHICH WERE NOT SPECIAL ORDER AND CHARGE ME FOR THOSE....I ASKED HIM TO GIVE ME THE ADRESS FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR CO. SO I CAN RETURN THEM AND HE IGNORES MY PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS. I ASKED HIM TO PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE RODS ARE SPECIAL ORDER AND GIVE PROOF OF DATE WHEN HE ORDERED THEM AND AGAIN HE IGNORES MY PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS. I EVEN WROTE HIM A CERTIFIED LETTER CONCERNING THIS ISSUE AND HE NEVER RESPONDED. HE IS KEEPING MY MONEY, EVEN AFTER THE TRAGIC EVENT OF MY HUSBANDS DEATH.Desired Settlement: [redacted] SHOULD RETURN $553.20 TO ME AND SHOW PROOF OF THE PURCHASE OF THE RODS AND FINAILS...FROM WHAT COMPANY HE PURCHASED THEM FROM AND THE DATE OF PURCHASE AND HOW MUCH HE PAID FOR THEM. HE ALSO NEEDS TO PROVIDE A PACKING SLIP FOR EVERY ITEM THAT HE SENT TO ME AND A PROOF AND WRITTEN STATEMENT OF WARRANTY. HE IS ALSO IGNORING MY PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS AND CERTIFIED LETTER IN THIS REGARD.

Review: After working with this company for at least a year and several thousands of dollars in work performed by them, I took four small wooden chairs to be reupholstered and while we discussed the quality of the wood, I asked if the wood could be touched up. NOT A COMPLETE REFINISHING. The store representative made a note on the work order: 'touch up and polish all wood same color as is now'. Unbeknownst to me that statement really meant to the workers to completely refinish the wood. Each chair ended up costing a total of $588. Refinishing and new fabric for the seats. I had a sinus infection at the time(did not know it- didn't feel so great). So I accepted the quote. When I picked up the chairs I had been on antibiotics and was feeling alot better. I sent an email asking HOW could such a small chair cost so much for a touch up and polish. At that point I was informed that actually the wood was refinished. And that the request on the work order really meant a complete refinishing--not just a touch up. I did not make a huge fuss. I contacted the representative and said how unhappy I was and that I wouldn't return or suggest this company to anyone else. Her response was glib and flippant. Sorry she said. Please consider us again. I believe I deserved better treatment; a better explanation; an apology; and a possible refund. This is a dreadful way to do business with a previous and successful customer. How could I possibly know that a touch up and polish really meant a complete refinishing? the work order certainly did not state a complete refinishing. Nor do I think I should have to PAY for this service.Desired Settlement: an apology; a refund; and acknowledgement that my complaint is VALID. I want to only pay for a touch up and polishing. NOT a complete refinishing. This is outrageous behavior from a local

company.
