Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Actually there were only two appointments made and they were cancelled due to rain. The third was an unexpected arrival by their employee. It was their suggestion that fine black sand be spread....not mine. The fowl mouth assertion is a fabrication, I simply said that he must either be dead or that he didn't want to talk to me. All I want is what they told me that they were going to do. I didn't say that I was completely satisfied. When they asked me if I was.... I asked their employee if he was satisfied.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2015/10/16) */
Since I was not present for the original negotiations I can not confirm what was said or not said. Although the way I have ran this business for over 30 years is to be honest with the customer and to address any issues, which I believe we have...

done. Seeing as there are not any mentions of wrong sq ft. Or price of asphalt in writing there are no legitimate reasons to believe the customer was mislead in any way. Nonetheless we have since repaired the work and believe the work is now complete and satisfactory to the customer

If I have taken to long to respond by a couple days I am sorry but I have been out of town dealing with family issues. I have heard very little truth in this complaint and yet have had my reputation as a trustworthy contractor dragged through the mud. I do not want to have any unhappy customers but this gentleman in particular has been impossible to satisfy from the moment " a door to door salesman" ran my work down. No matter what I say he is going to reject unless I say we are going to give him an entire free sealcoat which is not needed. I am willing to go out on a limb in good faith to reseal the driveway (that once again does not need to be done)if the customer will pay for the material cost. If I had ignored this customer and not made any effort to help I could see the problem but among one of the only true statements made by the customer is that we have in fact came to his house a total of 4 times to follow up and make repairs. I have a business to run and a family to take care of so I do not have time to argue so if the customer will accept my offer to reseal I will be happy to but as I stated before I will not be completely re-performing the entire sealcoat for free.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/12/09) */
Upon completion of the job and the customer was completely satisfied. Sometime later contacted me with some issues which I addressed by sending an employee to assist him. My employee said that he made him feel very uncomfortable and was very...

hostile but nevertheless he completed what was requested of the customer and once again he was satisfied. After that he contacted me another time and In a rather confrontational manner proceeded to use very racially insensitive comments about the employee that assisted him and accusing him of stealing a set of pliers he had borrowed. I offered to re buy a set for him but he declined the offer. Without any more contact to my buisness he contacted the Revdex.com. I will be happy to address any other concerns the customer has and buy him a new set of pliers but he are closed for the season and will not be reopening until April. I believe this gentleman is impossible to satisfy but we will do that is possible to do so.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2015/12/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have no idea what this gentlemans idea of truth is. when the job was completely originally there was no way to view the job totally because it was wet tar. I never said a word to his worker that could possibly be hostile. in fact I tipped him $40. when the second worker showed up to do the repair he did not have enough patch material to complete what was needed, and agreed the last man did a lousy job. I never ever said a word that could be thought of as racially insensitive. I certainly did not decline his offer of replacing a stolen tool. why would I. I told him if he didn't want to come to my home and make things right he should at least send me the tool in the mail. I tried to contact him through his e-mail several times long before a placed a complaint with the Revdex.com. I still may have the e-mail on record. I am very easy to satisfy. all he has to do is perform the job promised.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2015/12/18) */
My buisness has been drug through the mud and accused of lie after lie by this customer. After the Revdex.com having record of us for decades with no accusations of this sort there is no reason to start now. We have been Closed for the season for almost 3 months. This gentleman doesn't want his issues addressed, he said so in his previous response. As I stated before I will be glad to do anything I can to satisfy him but how can We if he will not let us. Everything I have said has been truthful and I do not have time to defend my statements every three or four days like I have had to. No matter what I say this man will call me a liar and that is not getting anyone anywhere. I do not want to upset any of my customers but I believe there's nothing I can do to satisfy this gentleman. If this gentleman will tell us what we can do I will be glad to try but I will not go back and forth about who is lying and who is telling the truth anymore
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2015/12/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have nothing further to add to what I have already said. I don't even want this person even on my property. period!

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The portion of the driveway which needs more work is from the berm to the road. This is the area [redacted] said needed to be resealed. The part that Harry came and fixed is fine. How much would the materials cost to do this? I might agree to pay a portion of it. By the way.....so far six "door to door salesmen" have told me that this was a marginal job.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I would like to begin by saying on my business card there are 3 phone numbers, a website and an email address. I was not notified one time about any issue with this driveway whatsoever until today by the Revdex.com. The customer claims that they called my answering service but there is no record of the the...

call. I reached out to The customer today and asked why they did not attempt any other numbers on my card to reach me ( especially since I give every customer my personal cell phone and tell them to call anytime if the is an issue). He told me "You're right, in hindsight I should have called the cell on the card". It is impossible to address an issue if nobody tells you about it. I don't mean to call anyone a liar but we were not informed of any problem and I would be happy to show a copy of my phone records for the days in question to prove so if the customer will also.  Any by issue no matter how big or small we will address and  if the driveway is under warranty you can bet your bottom dollar we will repair it free of charge. My crew will be in summit county in the coming weeks and it will be taken full care of but I want to clarify that my business does not ignore customers and for any of this complaint to be read by the public I hope the Revdex.com does due diligence to assure it is not a false statement. Thank you
