First and foremost we do not have any of ***'s money *** filed charge backs with her credit card company for the amounts in question and they have all be finalized as far as we know As this was the first time we have ever faced a charge back situation in the history of our
company we are not exactly sure how long that process takes, but we received notice that credit card company sided with *** and is returning the money to her.Second, while we were going to pursue collections for this money we have decided not to do so simply due to the stress and time involvedWe are small family run company and we depend on our business We are truthful and honest people and we think the fact that this is the only charge back we have ever had and our reviews speak to that fact.We do have a perfectly legitimate contract in place with *** which she is claiming is voidWe have her signature on it and plenty of documentation to back it up*** never informed us that needed insurance through us and we have the paperwork to confirm that *** checked a box requesting insurance that clearly states it is for nand non-canadian residents only after submitting her deposit and being quoted without any insurance coverage*** did not respond to an email requesting more information on her personal insurance When we reminded her of this a few days prior to her reservation is when the insurance issue came to light She wanted additional coverage for her rental and we did not have coverage to extend to her at the point as we previously only had coverage options for our international rentersThat was clearly stated on the contract she signed and our website at that timeWe have since then added new coverage options and so the information on our website (and our contracts) is now different.In addition we have no official cancellation from *** We require those to be in writing, but *** never submitted one We realize that *** made a mistake on the insurance coverage when she didn't realize she had any coverage for the rental or that she did not want to use her own insurance as primary on the rental We feel she is taking this mistake out on us, but we do not more time to spend on this as we do not have any of ***'s money nor are we pursing any more action with ***
