Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

On December 1st, I went to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory at the Tsawwassen (Delta) Ferry and purchased 6 small chocolate. The young man proceeded to enter the transaction and asked me to pay. I instinctively tap my debit card when I noticed the charges on the POS machine was $42.00 instead of the $15.75 total for my purchase. I told the young man that $42.00 is not the correct amount and he said he was sorry and was cancelling the charges. He then proceeded to enter the $15.75 which I paid using the same method. He did not offer me the cancellation receipt and confirmed the transaction was cancelled.

It's only few weeks later, I noticed the charges on my bank statement. I contacted the store (Rocky Mountain) and received a replied from Gaveeta that she was looking into it. She asked for my purchases and receipt which I did not keep as it was only 6 small chocolates at a total cost of $15.75. She provided information on how her terminal system works (debit connected to POS) which I reply I do not know what their employee did to overcharge us $42.00.

After few email exchanges, we agree to meet Sukhi, the store manager, at their store on December 27th when I was expecting to be reimbursed. Instead, Sukhi, started to explain he was not able to access that specific day's transactions and we would have to wait until they receive their receipts in January.

I contacted Gaveeta on January 27th and January 30th to get an update and confirm we were overcharged. We are still waiting for compensation.
