Review: Our District Sanitarian, [redacted], R.S., registered to attend the Environmental Inspection and Enforcement Training series in Bismarck, ND, December 3 through December 5, 2012. Training was offered through Rocky Mountain Environmental Alliance (RMEA) with [redacted] as the instructor. Registration fee was $345.00. [redacted] drove to Bismarck only to find out that the workshop had been canccelled. He spoke with [redacted] by phone, and [redacted] apologized for not contacting [redacted]. [redacted] emailed [redacted] that his regiatration fee would be transferred to the same workshop he was giving in Billings, MT, on January 2013. This workshop was again cancelled by [redacted] via a phone call stating [redacted] had injured his hand with a power tool. On February 11, 2013 [redacted] office received an email stating that the training would again be offered on April 17 through April 19, 2013 in Billings, MT. Again, this training was cancelled via email. [redacted] spoke with [redacted] on April 16, 2013, asking for a refund of the $345.00 registration fee. [redacted] stated that there were "legal matters" and to request the refund via email. On April 16, 2013 the Sanitarian's office requested a refund via email ([redacted]). On May 15, 2013, the Sanitarian's office again requested a refund of the registration fee. [redacted] received an email reply from [redacted], who was employed by the State of Montana. [redacted] stated that [redacted] had resigned from his job with DEQ, and she suggested [redacted] contact RMEA, as this was the company offering the training. the Dawson County Attorney, [redacted], corresponded on [redacted] behalf. As of this date, [redacted] cannot be located, and there has been no response from either him or RMEA. I ask that you check into obtaining a refund of the $345.00 registration fee for the Dawson County Treasurer, on Mr. [redacted]'s behalf.
