Review: Got an estimate to fix my car (body repair) on my 2000 mitsubishi. Jeff said it would be $1000. Told him the car is old and I dont want to spend more than that and if the bill was going to be more he needed to let me know before he made any changes. Got all the parts he needed. He said the hood I got was to rusty, he needed a better one or he would charge more to fix. Got him a better hood. Never received a call from Jeff that my car was done. Drove past and saw it was fixed. Called him he said he was working on my bill. Went there there next day and was given a bill for $2581.82. Told him he was supposed to get approval before any changes that would increase the bill. He said he didn't remember that (convenient). He said he could take $200 off....that $1381.82 more than his quoted price. We were baited in with an agreed upon price with no authorization to go over and he switched the price by more than doubling it.Desired Settlement: Accept the original price he agreed to. Quoting 1000 and saying he would get permission to make changes that would increase that...and not keeping his word and charging $2381.82 is very bad business. Bait and switch.
