Mr. [redacted] consigned his gun with us and had agreed to a minimum payment of $200.  His gun was put out for sale at $275, by marking the gun a little higher it gives us room in negotiating a sale and allows for the possibility of the customer getting more than his minimum.  If...

the gun had sold for $275 he would have received $220, the gun sold for $250 (copy of sales invoice attached) and Mr [redacted] has received a check for $200.  I am sorry for the confusion with the sales person he spoke with at the store.  When we look up consignments in our POS System all the values are on one screen, the original asking price, the price to pay the customer, and the final sale price.  I assume that the clerk looked at the original price the gun was marked at; which was $275 as explained.I am sorry that he feels he was purposely miss-led but that is not the case, and has received the full 80% of the sales price of the gun.It would be nice if I had the ability to issue him a check the same day the gun was sold, but there are many demands on my time.If you need further clarification please let me know.Sincerely,Tim B[redacted]
