[redacted] In response to Complaint ID [redacted] As far as the professionalism of our crew Yes the painter is our son and has been a professional painter for over years The ceiling tiles were not uniform and many of them were already damaged None were damaged by us The texturing that was done with a rattle can was done on a small area as a sample look to get approval of the texture to be used It was approved by the clients and they loved it There is no way the whole job could be done without using a texturing machine To think different makes no sense at all The cost of the supplies did not include just the ones left for them but also included what had already been installed Plastic, Tape, Mud, and dry wall tape that was all used in prep of the job As far as the time our painter had to miss: There was a family matter that came up that needed his attentionIt in no way affected the time line of the job being finished on time We did not abandon the job They ended the job With all the complaints and changes every day to the scope of the work, we decided there was no way to satisfy these clients no matter what we did If we could have finished the work, there would not have been a mess left and the finished product would have been beautiful and professional. We feel the amount charged for the work performed was fair and correct.A copy of our "angry email" is attached.Thank you

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The documentation provided by Rocky Mountain Home Interiors were
the invoices from the one contractor on site whom we know to be insuredThe
invoices were detailed, understandable and contemporaneousAs noted in our
original complaint, we have accepted these invoices as supporting documentation
accounting for a little less than half of the money paid to RMHIRMHI has made every attempt to manipulate Ms***This
manipulation can be seen by the fact that Ms*** seemed to ask for money
only when Mr*** was not present at the end the email submitted in our
original claim where Ms*** asked Ms*** to meet with her without
Mr*** (whom was questioning the charges), and bring him in only after Ms
*** had “a full understanding of it”
Unfortunately, Mr*** was killed in an accident before
he could meet with Ms*** for resolution and clearly Ms*** never receive
a full explanation or she would not have asked that I try to resolve the
dispute with Ms*** on her behalf
In our view RMHI’s continued refusal to provide the services
and accounting they promised, constitutes breach of contract and casts a rather
dubious light on RMHI
We are resolute in our assertions that RMHI appears to be contracting
without a license or liability insurance, has provided substandard workmanship,
misclassifies their employees as ‘subcontractors’ in violation of the Colorado Employment
Security Act, and has taken $120,000, given in good faith, without providing
the oversight and accounting to which they are bound professionally and
contractually
Our proposed solution is simple, reasonable and quite
standard business practice for cost plus contract work
To bring this issue to closure, we simply need a full and
complete accounting of the money paid to RMHI along with documentation that all
contractors and material providers have been paid
We expect proof that Rocky Mountain Home Interiors met their
fiduciary and professional project management responsibility by providing
supporting documentation that all of their "Quality Subcontractors"
(including RMHI's owner's sons) were legitimate independent contractors,
qualified to perform the work in question, insured and paid fair market rates
rather a higher ‘family’ rate for the work they performed
Regards,

The client is right, that we measured and quoted the blind order.  In the process of getting these blinds, ordered, life happened to us in an unusual way. We had to move from our home in the mountains and then I fell ill.  I thought I had processed all orders.  We are not going out of...

business, we have just given up our store front.  The plan is to process this order as soon as possible or refund the money to the client in the next 30 days.

See attached.

far as the professionalism of our crew.  Yes the painter  is our son and has been a professional painter for over 20 years.  2.  The ceiling tiles were not uniform and many of them were already damaged.  None were damaged by us.3.  The texturing that was done  with a rattle can was done on a small area as a sample look to get approval of the texture to be used.  It was approved by the clients and they loved it.  There is no way the whole job could be done without using a texturing machine.  To think different  makes no sense at all. 4.  The cost of the supplies did not include just the ones left for them but also included what had already been installed.  Plastic, Tape, Mud, and dry wall tape that was all used in prep of the job.5.  As far as the time our painter  had to miss:  There was a family matter that came up that needed his attention.. It in no way affected the time line of the job being finished on time.6.  We did not abandon the job.  They ended the job.  With all the complaints and changes every day to the scope of the work, we decided there was no way to satisfy these clients no matter what we did.  If we could have finished the work, there would not have been a mess left and the finished product would have been beautiful and professional. We feel the amount charged for the work performed was fair and correct.A copy of our "angry email" is attached.Thank you
