Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,

This company states in their response that they guarantee their workHowever, I called repeatedly over the course of several months to get in touch with someone who could come out and tell me why the $I paid for this work did absolutely nothing for my home's efficiencyI was told to keep calling back because the manager wasn't thereBut he was never thereI called again and again and left my messageI live alone and always have my phone on meI didn't miss a call from them - they never called meIn fact, the only time I have ever heard from the manager was when I called and he told me that I was out of luck because they don't have someone in my state anymoreI said that if they couldn't send a technician, I should get a partial refund so I can hire someone else to come outHe said noSo their guarantee that they claim to have means: you'll spend a lot of money for nothing; they won't come check their work when you realize the money you spent was for nothing; they won't give you a partial refund to get someone who can actually guarantee their work to come fix what was doneI can't believe I was scammed by them - especially since I was a customer of theirs before and was so happyWhat a terrible way to treat a repeat customer

I spoke with Mrs*** on the phoneWe have sent a check to cover the cost of the handyman

To whom it may concern-
It is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] feels the need to accuse us of "cheating" him. Which is most definitely NOT the case. Mr. [redacted] is also accusing the building inspectors of cheating him, which is equally as unfortunate. (I'd be curious to see if he has filed a Revdex.com complaint against the building inspectors.)
From reading his last response it is evident that Mr. [redacted] still does not understand how the building inspection quality verification process works. Once again, when a contractor does work on a property, that work MUST be seen and verified and passed off as completed properly by the building inspector. Once the work has been inspected and passed off as properly completed by the building inspector, the contractor is through.
The work that we did at Mr. [redacted] home was most definitely seen, inspected and passed off as being done properly. And once again, the inspection certificates are available for review at the local building inspection office. The records will verify that the attic was insulated to the level of R38.
Please note that it has been 7 years since we did work on Mr. [redacted] home. As previously stated in the last response, there are a number of things that could have caused Mr. [redacted] attic insulation to be blown around and dispersed.
For Mr. [redacted] to accuse us of not doing a proper job and "cheating" him, and for Mr. [redacted] to accuse the building inspectors of also not doing their job is just absurd.
I definitely spoke to Mr. [redacted] in the phone about this matter a few times. All Mr. [redacted] was interested in was free insulation. He became argumentative and combative when I explained how the building inspection process works.
At Rocky Mountain Insulation we do superior work. Furthermore, the excellence of our workmanship and quality can be easily verified by the building inspectors' records.
Thank you,

It is not acceptable that the customer is requesting a refund for the services that we have performed.

To whom it may concern-
We are an excellent insulation company. We have done great work for dozens of builders in the area. We have insulated hundreds of new homes and have never had a situation like this.
There is a system of quality control that is strictly enforced to make sure...

situations like this don't arise. Work done by builders and sub-contractors must be verified to have been done correctly and properly by city and/or county code building inspectors. If any part of the work is not done perfectly to the building code, the work must be corrected immediately or the building process can not continue.
It can be easily verified that the work that was done by Rocky Mountain Insulation at Mr [redacted]'s home was done perfectly and all work had been verified and by the city building inspector.
I've spoken with Mr. [redacted] and his realtor about this situation over the phone. The realtor believes that it is possible that wind could have blown the insulation product out of the attic area and/or moved it around. There are a number of possible reasons that could have caused Mr. [redacted]'s attic insulation to have moved or dispersed.
The bottom line is that we, Rocky Mountain Insulation, did an excellent job insulating Mr. [redacted]'s house and it's all been verified by the city inspectors. Those records are kept at the city and can be easily verified.
Thank you,

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:My conversation with Rocky Mountain insulation was to find out what went wrong with properly insulating my home.  I asked him to search his records and get back with me.  He said that he would insulate my home up to code for 60 cents a foot.  I called him twice to find out why it was not insulated up to code but he did not answer and never got back with me. I hired a reputable insulation company from Bear Lake who brought the insulation of my home up to code for 60 cents a square foot.  Rocky Mountain insulation had a chance to make things right but chose to condemn me for inquiring about a problem.  Very sad!Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:The business would not answer their phone or come and look at the attic. We have pictures that clearly show the attic has only R 20-22 insulation at best and missing areas of no insulation.  Code in 2010 was R38.  If the wind blew it it should still be there in large piles, which is not the case. The realator is not a contractor and has not looked at the attic, only seen the pictures. He should not be making any conclusions or excuses for the business. City inspectors obviously did not check it or it would never have passed inspection. it doesn't matter how many jobs this business has done in Pocatello- they cheated this one by not blowing in R38 levels of insulation.  inspection pictures are available for documentation.Sincerely,[redacted]
