Thanks for giving us the opportunity to respond to Mr*** complaint. We do everything in our power to keep our mistakes to a minimum, but occasionally we discover we have made one and try to rectify the problem as quickly as we can.
Within minutes of Mr***
leaving our shop on the day we had initially changed his oil, we discovered we had not replaced his oil cap after adding the appropriate amount of oil. We tried the phone numbers we had on file and went to the address on file a couple of times to try to contact Mr*** to get his oil cap back on the vehicle. We were unable to contact him with the information we had and kept his oil cap so that when he contacted us we would be able to return it to him
Fortunately Mr*** noticed the cap missing and called us. He was out of town with the truck and we did tell him we would reimburse him for the cost of an oil cap and another oil change. His wife brought the invoices to me on Wednesday the 25th of June and I did, in fact, get the check in the mail on the 26th.(see attached copy of the returned envelope). Unfortunately I made another mistake and mailed it to their old address we had on file. Mr*** Wife wrote the new address down for me and I looked at our old invoice instead of the piece of paper she had written on
When Mr*** called my cell phone on July 1st to let me know he hadn't received the reimbursement yet, I was out of town with my family in rural Oklahoma and his phone message didn't show up on my phone until Sunday July 6th. I phoned him on as soon as I received the Revdex.com complaint and explained that I had sent the promised reimbursement and that I would be back on Monday, July 7th to rectify the situation. My Manager called me on Saturday, July 5th around noon to let me know that the letter we sent Mr*** had been returned in the mail, at which time I called Mr*** and set an appointment for today, July 7th, to give him the unopened, returned envelope we had mailed him
Mr*** and I met this morning and I gave him the unopened envelope that was returned to us. He seemed to be pleased and he asked that I give the oil change certificates to a couple of family's that may be in need of a free oil change. We do have some contacts with a few organizations that will take donations and will be giving a total of free oil changes to family's that may be in a tight spot
Thanks again for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. I believe we have satisfied Mr*** concerns and hope he will be responding with the same result.
