I was visiting Bozeman, Montana for 3 days and stopped at Rocky Mountain Rug Gallery to browse. Their website says "No Obligation In-Home Trial" for their products so I assumed they provide refunds. On Saturday, Oct 12, 2019, I bought a rug that required shipping to me in Colorado. The saleswoman did not tell me that their store does not provide refunds. When I got home on Monday, Oct 14, I measured my livingroom floor and realized the rug I bought was too big for the space. So I called Monday, Oct. 14 around 7pm and left a voice mail, not to ship the rug, and requested a refund. I called again on Tuesday morning leaving several messages. When I called later in the morning, I told the person who answered not to ship the rug, but he told me that he was busy and that someone would call me back. It was Wednesday afternoon before someone called me back and said the rug had been shipped on October 15, 2019 at 11:24am. I did not accept the rug delivery and UPS returned it to vendor. Rocky Mountain Rug Gallery refuses to give me a refund. Instead they have offered a store credit of $4,900.00. I don't know when or if I will ever return to Bozeman so the store credit is useless to me. Their website states that they provide "No Obligation In-Home Trial"--based on my experience, this is false advertising. I want a refund, not a credit.
Mrs. *** came to store about a month ago and I spent couple of hours showing rugs in 9 x 12 as she asked for her living room size. Once she realized the prices of the 9 x 12 are not in her budget she asked me to show her 6 x 9 rugs instead. After going through all the stacks of 6 x 9 she liked two rugs and I pulled them out for her to see. She loved the one with more colors and was little bit more expensive and I gave her also great discount since she loved the expensive one more than the other one. I offered her complimentary shipping as well. She loved the rug so much. And she said it would give her more selections of colors to work with compare to the less expansive one. For whatever reason she changed her mind after the rug was shipped to her. I explained to her that we are small business and we buy and sell and our sale prices are final and we can only give her store credit. It clearly says on the invoice and the credit card slip. I even gave here full credit of store including the cost of shipping and the cost of return as she did not even pay for that. She got full credit. As every store, organization or gallery has its own policy, I can only follow our gallery’s policy and we gladly offer exchange for the full amount. I have explained that to her over and over again.
Any rugs purchased at sale from our gallery we are behind it and we gladly exchange for any other rug and apply the store credit. I have offered her and emailed her other rugs that she says needs in 5 x 7 size. I have offered any help to make it easy as far as emailing pictures, or face timing or if she likes to come in. I have offered my full help to make it easy for her to pick any rugs from our gallery she wishes to.
This is very sad for someone that you helped wholeheartedly and they turn around write such an unfair review.
