Rocky Mountain RV Sales & Service Reviews (2)

I do not know what others have to say about rm(rocky mountain rv montana) but I have had a wonderful experience with them. I have had my great cyclone 3010 for about a year and had a couple of issues. they have always bent over backwards to help and fix all of my problems. I bought over internet so they could have said to hell with me. nothing of the sort!!!!! my sales person [redacted] is the best. I am in texas and it has been a great experience to deal with them. [redacted] has been great as well. I look forward to meeting them in persson. if anyone has a question about the validity of this review [redacted] can call me in while you are in his office and I will be glad to confirm this. I can`t give my phone out for obvious reasons. I would highly recommend this dealership for your next purchase internet or otherwise. I was fearful of buying on internet but would do it again with rm in a heartbeat. the same goes for [redacted]. I am a retired investigator for texas dept. of criminal justice.

Review: I purchased an RV from this dealership in April of 2014 and now it is June. Two months after the purchase the RV has obtained extensive leakage and water damage. The RV is under a one year manufacturing warranty which the seller must abide by. The RV company gave us the information of a company to fix the leak. The company did not fix the leak and the roof continued to leak with the rain. The General manager ([redacted]) told me in an email which I could forward to you, " that he will not pay to have the same problem fixed and I can bring the RV back to their shop but repairs would be my financial responsibility" even though it is under warranty he refuses to fix the problem. Than states out of pure anger and unprofessionally, that he refuses to continue to do business with me. So he sold me a $27,000 RV that sustained extensive water damage from a leak that was caused by bad sealing from the manufacturer and refuses to fix it.Desired Settlement: I would like them to buy back the defective product and we will take our business elsewhere.

Response:

Here are all the correspondence that I have had with [redacted] over this matter. As you can see we have had some disagreements with this customer, each handled to the best of our ability, you can read through the emails and see each complaint and resolution. As for the issue with the water leak, the unit was purchased from us and shipped to Mr. [redacted] in North Dakota, they discovered a water leak on the outside kitchen and call us. We requested that the unit come back to our shop for repairs, knowing that it wasn't likely, but when it is my shop I can control the quality of work. The [redacted]'s declined our request and said they need someone in their area so my service writer made a number of phone calls until he found a shop that said they could handle the repair and were willing to get the coach in quickly. We then made an appointment for them and prepaid for the work to be done and submitted the repair to warranty. I am now being told (I have not see this issue in person as the coach is 800 miles away from me) that the repair was not performed correctly and the leak persists and that now it has been let go so long that there is water damage to the countertop and wall board in the outside kitchen. Again we offer to work on the coach in our shop, telling the customer that any parts that we need to order could take up to 3 weeks to receive and that water damage due to negligence would not be a warranty covered repair. I also made the customer aware that warranty had been billed to repair this leak and would not pay for the repair a second time, this was a workmanship issue with the shop in North Dakota and would need to be resolved with them. This shop is not affiliated with my dealership in any way and I can not guaranty there work, if the [redacted]'s were not comfortable with this repair center it was their option to cancel the appointment and make other arrangements. I feel as though my dealership has done everything in our power to satisfy this customer and she is still not happy so I will evoke my right to not do business with her in the future. I will not repurchase the coach as there are absolutely no grounds to do so. There are two sides to every story and I am sure that this customer feels that she was wronged, but she was not wronged by my dealership and I am not responsible for the chooses they make in regards to their RV or location of the RV. I hope you will read through the documents that I attached and see that we have done everything that we can and understand why I came to my dissuasion.
