[redacted]
Good Morning[redacted] and [redacted] had us install a bay window in a...

converted garage on 6/12/12 at [redacted].  I went to the townhouse on 12/30/15 because of air infiltration with the bay no problem found customer expanded on the concern saying that the bay seat was cold along with the room in general along with the concern of condensation in the windows.  On 1/22/16 we reset an IGU and checked the insulation on the bay.  On 12/9/16 I myself went back to the home along with a another employee to address the condensation and air leak.  During this visit I brought a thermal camera along with humidity gauge.  Once again there was no air leaking around the bay window [redacted] was just upset about the condensation and ice build up on the bay stating that the room was to cold to be in and to expensive to keep heated so they just block off the room.  I took several pictures of the bay and the room, the general humidity was above 40% and the overall temperature of the room in the low 40's.  During the evaluation I found areas in the room that the surface temperatures were as low as 33 degrees on the walls as in relation to the bay which was 30 degrees on the seat and 41 degrees at the center of the glass. note the surface temperature of the exterior of the home was -4 degrees.  I showed them what I found and explained that the room needs a proper heating source, not space heaters, and keeping the blinds partially open could help the condensation because of air flow.  We talked about how the room was built in and the insulating of the interior walls.  On 6/20/17 I went back to the [redacted] again because they called said that the bay was leaking air and water.  I asked them both were the air or water was coming in at and they responded that they could not feel any air coming in but the condensation from last winter left marks on the seat board.  During the visit I again took pictures of the bay windows and the room with a thermal camera the general surface temperature of room was in the mid 80's with the exterior surface being in the high 90's.  Both of them stated all the condensation problems all started after we replace the center glass of the bay.  I pulled the stops to see if there were any obvious problems in the glazing and told them that I did not want to do much because of the chance of breaking the glass without a replacement.  I left telling them that I want to get Milgard service personnel involved on which they agreed.  Carol do I need to proceed with DSA for corporate assistants or will the work also let me know if you need any or all pictures of my visits.Thank you-- Todd S[redacted]Sales ManagerRocky Mountain Window Distributors dba Renewal by Andersen of Wyoming[redacted]
