Rocky's Mom Realty Reviews (1)

Review: I contacted Tammie Jo Lee with Lee Realty about a home that was listed online for sale. She called me back the next day & informed me that she would not show the house without a loan preapproval because it was "a waste of time" to drive there without it. She referred me to the bank she had contacted in reference to the house, and I contacted the bank and went through the process of preapproval. Once I obtained the approval I contacted her again and left a message asking to see the house. She called back and left a message once again saying she wouldn't show it without preapproval and that she expected me to call last week, not this week. The voicemail was very rude & unprofessional. Once I viewed the house I asked about the price and we quickly realized that there was a discrepancy in the price of the house. She had it listed as one price, but it was listed as something different elsewhere on the internet. I asked her about it and her attitude changed VERY quickly. I never told her I wouldn't pay the higher price (only $6,000 difference), just pointed out there was a difference and she was very rude and hateful to me about it. Before it was over she was accusing my banker of not being able to do her job & "do it right" because my preapproval was based on the lower price. When I told her I'd call my banker & talk to her about it, her response was "it doesn't matter whether you call her or not, it's NOT going to change the price of the house!" Soon after this she essentially kicked me out of the house, and then left without speaking to me or even looking at me as she drove by me in the driveway. She left & continuously called and emailed my banker while driving & when she didn't answer the phone right away, she drove straight to the bank & went into her office & proceeded to be very rude to her about the situation. My bank rescinded all affiliation with her because of her poor attitude. She is VERY unprofessional & petty & has no business "selling" real estate much less owning her own business.Desired Settlement: I'm not asking for a settlement, I just want an explanation.

Response:

In reference to the aforementioned complaint, the property that the person was looking at takes very unusual hard to get financing since it is a older doublewide without a foundation. The bank in reference was the only one that said that they would even try to get an in house loan done on the property. This person was not my client as I represent the seller of the property. I mentioned that not only on the phone, but also in person to her and she did sign an unrepresented buyers agreement as soon as she entered the property and was reminded again that I represent only the seller. I had already sent her the listing from the mls system which is the only place that properties are automatically updated as they are entered. Also, I provided a flyer to her when they walked in with the same price of $56,500.She looked at the doublewide and said she would think about it and as we were getting ready to walk out again she mentioned she had seen the property on [redacted] for less. I told her the amount she was speaking of was for the price my seller bought it for earlier in the year. I told her that sometimes [redacted] and other websites will have a glitch in there system and get things messed up and that there was no way that he could sell it for what he paid for it, as he has realtor fees on top of furnishing the home partially. She said that her banker had told her what the price was and that she should get it for that price. I explained to her that I had sent the banker the listing from the mls when I asked her if she thought she could do the loan and didn't know where she had gotten that price from. She said her banker knew more about the listing then I did. Even though I am the broker that has it listed. I told her there must be some confusion and that I would make sure that she still has the listing. I was sitting down at the table to try to talk to her in the home. She was just standing there yelling at me that she was going to get the home for that lower price and was being very argumentative. Again, I tried to explain to her that he couldn't sell it for that because he has more into it. My son was with me inside the home because after my next appointment he had an appointment. I was trying to meet them when they wanted even though he had an appointment. I will not argue with someone who is not even listening and proceeded to tell me I do not know my job. Especially in front of my son as I would not want him to think it is ok for someone to constantly yell at you and tell you that you don't know your profession when you are not even representing them. I never saw a copy of her prequailification letter for the home. The lender thought I had came down to get it at the bank when I came in, but I explained to her that I was only going to be representing the seller and that I had just let her in to see the home. I also, emailed a copy of the signed unrepresented agreement as soon as I had gotten back. She said so you don't need the prequalification letter? I told her no that whoever was going to be her buyer's agent would need that letter to hold on to it. I also asked the lender where she pulled the listing from and she said [redacted]. I asked if she would pull it up for me to look at and she said sure. She pulled the listing up and it said that the broker was [redacted] who works for [redacted] and the agent was me. I told her that must be the reason it is pulling up wrong. I also told her that one time they had a glitch at [redacted] that it so bad that it showed that I had listings in almost every state. I told her I would have to try to find out from [redacted] when I got back why it was showing that way. I have not heard anything from her lender as far as rescinding all affiliation with me. I have sold real estate since 2006 and have had alot of repeat business, currently a have 17 homes listed and several new buyers and sellers daily contacting me to provide my services to them. I have never had any complaints and was truly shocked at someone arguing with me about a price from a [redacted] and not even sitting down while I was trying to explain it to her. She didn't even mention this difference in price when she received the mls listing, when she was handed the flyer upon entering and when I told her the price when she first walked around, she didn't mention it until after she walked outside and wanted to go in for a quick final walkthough that is when she had gotten argumentative. When she was just going round and round about how she was going to get the home for that price and I could not get her to understand it was a mistake on the website she had looked at and if she would have looked at a website that was directly linked to the mls it would always be right. Then, I said "I am not going to sit here and argue with you", I then proceeded to lock up the home as she had said she was only going back in for a quick little final walkthough. I contacted [redacted] about the issue on the listing and he had to put a trouble ticket in on it. I have attached a copy of the unrepresented agreement and copies of the emails from [redacted] at [redacted]. I am truly upset that anyone would feel this way about my business as I have hundreds of satisfied clients, lenders and other business professionals that would disagree. This person was not even my client.

Response:

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not satisfied at all with this explanation simply because it's fictional. I never yelled at her nor implied that she could not do her job. She's the one who raised her voice & became argumentative, I was simply trying to get her to understand that there were 2 different prices out there. If she had responded to this in any other way but confrontational, it would have been fine. I never said anything out of the way to her, or "yelled" at her. If I was yelling my boyfriend would have heard because he was right outside. When I responded I would have to talk to my bank I meant to be sure I could get the rest of the money financed & she became bent out of shape accusing my banker of not knowing how to do her job. Her words exactly were "well if she doesn't know how to do her job & do it right then they need to get somebody in there who can!" She also argued with me that the listing wasn't current. I was trying to explain to her that the listing was last updated August 20, 2013. My banker told her she needed to clean up her listing so this wouldn't happen again. Her response was "I don't have time to sit at my desk all day and do that!" While I understand that things get misprinted on the Internet, her attitude & demeanor said a lot about her and the company she runs. If she had taken a different tone during our discussion this scenario would have taken a completely different turn. However, her rudeness-even from the beginning-left me no choice but to file this complaint. No one should be treated this way when they are looking to make an investment like that. All other facts aside-the problem is she threw me out of the house, never said a word as she was leaving, wouldn't even LOOK my direction as she drove past me in the driveway, then went straight to my bank & caused a problem. Any way you look at it this behavior is completely unprofessional, unacceptable, and downright petty. An apology is more than necessary. Regards,[redacted]
