Dear Revdex.com,
I am contacting you regarding complaint # ***In regards to this situation I have spoke with the guest several times and let them know that we have evidence of the smoking in the roomWhen every guest checks in they sign a regcard stating if they smoke in the room
there will be a Dollar charge that is non refundableI have told the guest that if they would like to they can dispute it with their Credit Card CompanyAt no time have I received a Charge Back from the bankI will not be returning the $If you have any questions please let me know

I am not entirely sure why we received a letter regarding this complaintFrom my recollection, I spoke with this guest after our outage, as he had called again, and I was able to get everything fixed for himThe guest was refunded the entire amount of his stay on
September 27, I am not sure what else I can do for him at this time as that is what he was looking for in the first placeI was sold out the day he had wanted it to change so we cancelled and refunded his reservation for the incorrect date

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Again, this is ludicrous that my family is subjected to this unfair accusation. Our cc card company can refuse payment and rightfully they should. But, if this evidence exists then they would truly have witnessed someone/s walk into said room after my family had vacated the premise. If that does not show up on video then the company has made a major clerical error and they have the wrong room. Either way, for a company to abuse the ridiculous power they have over my financial well being is unacceptable. They are disrupting my life, breaking a social contract with a customer, yet I cannot just take dollars from them. If I, as the customer, is treated unfairly or given unsatisfactory hospitality, I again, cannot take dollars from them. I can only complain and hope the managers in charge have a simple goal, to please customers. Hopefully, the companies who have been given our financial fate to decide (which they have little to no investment in us) will give corporations a better image then the manager at Rodeway Inn at Portland Airport is currently exhibiting. Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I want more of an investigation into this situation. I clearly do not smoke, my wife clearly does not smoke, our 5 month old baby clearly does not smoke. Any friend, family, or acquaintance can attest to the fact we are a smoke free family. The business will not supply us with their evidence. Their story fluctuates between calls. We have contacted the parent company Choice Hotels and our Credit Card company. No one seems to listen to the little persons story. They take whatever the owner states and calls that sufficient. Someone could have unlawfully entered, they mixed up the room number, an employee is covering up for someone else, etc........... What is clearly understood by my family is we are the victims of a Corporation abusing their power to obtain and utilize personal financial information to cover up their losses. I nor anyone else involved with that room have any financial responsibility, stake, or claim to that company or their shareholders. We are innocent of the claim made by Rodeway Inn at Portland Airport and expect to be treated fairly. Love to go to small claims and put owner on the spot but here is the math: 100dollars to file claim, 40 dollars gas one way, possible overnight stay 120dollars, food, and a day or two from work = more than the 300 dollars that was rightfully ours in the first place. Pretty easy for the "man" to win.Sincerely,[redacted]
