Review: OUR CHECk IN TIME WAS 5/19/13 AND CHECK OUT WAS 5/31/13. MY SON AND I requested a hANDCAPP ROOM FOR $57.00. THE NEXT MORNING THEY SAID WE HAD TO MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM. NO REASON WAS GIVEN TO US. THE NEXT ROOM WAS NOT HANDICAP ACCESIBLE. I informed the owner the $57.00 was PROMISED FOR HANDICAP ROOM. If I would not have been moved my clothes might have not be stolen.I had the clothes at move in and the next day were not in my room. The owner continue to get approval from my Business BANK CARD WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I ask if our card was put on hold could we bring the cash in to cover the room. I was informed that this was possible. The Owner called me on the 30th and said come sign the charges. The bill ended costing us $1143.00. I had to sign the charges or their would has been a legal dispute. I am now disputing it with my BANK. My son [redacted] has a disability. I also do and needed the handicap room. The clothes that were stolen from the room our worth $100.00. My BANK PAID THE hOTEL THE CHARGES. The $57.00/12 nights is the true amount to be charged. The $100.00 for my stolen clothes. They breached their duty as business and their actions were unconsciousable were intentional and misleading. The refund s demanded accept for $57.00/12 nights. The $100 for stolen clothes our demanded.Desired Settlement: [redacted] AND [redacted] DEMAND the room charges reduced to $57.00 a night and the $100.00 for stolen property refunded on ny Business Bank Card. I want to be back were I started at move in. I will hire a attorney THAT HELPS PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. They violated the AMERICAN WITH DISABILITY ACT. tHE ENTIRE CHARGES REFUNDED. Dear Revdex.com

Re: Customer concern

We regret the situation with the above guest making this complant but believe the complain was made to retaliate for being asked to leave. The guest checked in on 05/19 into one of our deluxe rooms, room 111, and stayed in that room for one night. The next morning she requested to move to a room with two beds since her adult son was going to stay with her. We offered her a discounted rate and she moved to room 126. The guest never requested a special room or that she had any disabilities.

As she continued to extend her stay daily, her rates were specified every single day and we worked with her by not charging her Credit Card on a daily basis as we do for our other guests.

The guest and her son stayed in room 126 (a atandard 2 queen bedded room) until 05/31. On the evening of 5/30 we had been informed, by our evening employee, that there was a disturbance in room 126. Our employee reported that a very loud argument, which could be heard from over 100 feet away through the closed office door, had taken place. When our employee went to investigate, she found the guest’s adult son to be extremely intoxacated; the guest appeared to be under the unfluince as well. Our employee advised the guest and her son that they would need to maintain quiet civility in order to stay for the remainder of the evening.

Earlier on 5/30 our employee was also informed of the“stolen clothing” items, and that the guest wanted to make a claim, however it should be noted that the guest had moved all of her belongings from room 111 to room 126 on 5/20, no one else was involved. Our employee believed the guest to be intoxacated at this time. The guest accused our housekeepers of theft, but the items that were supposedly stolen were branded “work uniform”items that were in sizes far larger than our housekeepers could wear. The guest was politely advised to speak to the General Manager about the matter on the following morning.

In addition, it was noted that each day since the son’s arrival, excessive alcohol consumption had been taking place, as the son was continuously refilling his beer cooler with ice.

Due to these incidents, we decided to discontinue the guest stay. We requested the guest check out. At the time of check out, we explaned the billing and the guest signed for the charges.

We would be happy to provide a copy of the bill.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

Thiese is false allegations. We made the call to reserve a handicapp room with the on site manager. The time of our arrival was confirmed that a handicapp room was available. This room had one king size bed and one couch that made ou to a bed. The management notify us that we had to move to another room but was equal. The reason was unknown. But they rushed us out before the eleven o'clock check out. The clothes that were in the bathroom were only mine. The T-shirt had been printed by the Oceanside print shop with the name [redacted]. iThe T-shirt ws on my prson when I arrived to check-in. I also wore a pair of pants. They were not in the room as I went through my clothes. The maids did enter the room and they management claim no one took the clothes. Why would I make a false statement when I have proof of the T-shirt on my camera and My son as a witness, The pint shop can also confirm this T-shirt was purchased. The religion that the Owner practices dispise alcohol and tabacco and they accepted credit card and continue to charge the card. If, they do not allow alochol and tabacco let them advertize as such. The other rooms were occumpied with loud noisy and alcohol and tabacco. In fact the night manager inform My son that it was ok to fill his ice chest once a day. My son was given approval to have a friend to be on the property, The only conflict was when a man tha frequent the motel often with the managerment permission would not leave my window while he was charging his phone. The phone was charged by the plugin outside my window,. I woke up and saw him looking in. The this man continue to ask for tabacco and beer from my son. He did not pay for them but My Son bought and paid for these items. Then this man continue to bother me. My Son was kind to him. When I wnt out this man was in the Truck and I ask him to leave. The management did not protect their guests. The customer must be first.on the back of his truck. The Credit card was always in their possession and the Owner/management continued to charge. If, this conduct was know then why did he keep charging my card. No, the room we were changed to was not habitable. The Manager inform my Son he could smoke outside and he did. If, they did nto approve alcohol then why were the other guests allowed. The false allegation that I was intoxicated was not based on the truth. I have not been known to consume alcohol it against my conviction. But alcohol is legal and My son paid for it and he had a legal right to drink. The Owner informed me that the approval was given by my Bank for all of the funds and two more nights. Thas was not the truth because the Owner told me he knew how to manuplate the Business Bank Card and he di. di not ask us to leave but the check out time. The Owner also said we coudl pay cash and the Business Bank card was a hold for the funds. I think he continue to increase the rom rental rate and accommplished this deceptive fraud. The Owner falsely made these alelgations to cover up his over charged me for the rooms. The Motel was almost empty at our arrival. I overheard him discussing his religion. I informed him I was a member at PACIFIC VIEW BAPTIST and his allegations do not hold water. He informed me he would refund some of the charges. I did not see the charges until I went to the office and then I had no other ecourse. I allege he overcharged the room rate and intentionally moved us to a room not Handicapp accessable. He ha dnot proof of his accusations. The Motel Owner and manger had a duty to treat his customers with respect. The Business Bank Card was charged to [redacted]LLC. bUT he changed the name to [redacted]. bUT WHEN I WNT TO SIGNonly wanted people of his religion

in the motel rooms.
