Because of my personal experiences over years, I would NOT recommend [redacted] or his company, [redacted] 's Heating & ACIn the years following the installation of two AC units, I had to make at least service calls to [redacted] for repair In my opinion, the only good thing about [redacted] is that he'd usually arrive within hours of calling for service, sometimes even the same dayThe bad thing is that the problem was almost never fixed with only one visitI don't know if [redacted] was too busy or too lazy to track down leaks in the system but he would usually just put in more coolant and tell me it was fixedThen, a few months (or sometimes weeks) later, same problem I've since learned that if the coolant is ever low, it's because there's a leak in the systemThe leak could be tiny and take months to cause a performance issue or the leak could be larger, causing an issue within a week of it being filled to the recommended pressure Over the years, [redacted] had to repair a couple nicks in the lines, the coil in one unit had to be completely replaced because of an un-repairable leak, and the other unit's coil also had a really bad leak a couple weeks after I hit the year mark Which brings me to the warrantyBefore purchasing the units, I was told there was a year warranty on parts and unit replacement, if necessaryAlso a lifetime warranty on the compressor and heat exchanger, awesome, right? WRONG! What [redacted] failed to mention was that there was very important warranty paperwork that needed to be submitted within days of the install to get that warrantyOtherwise all you get is a year warranty on partsI didn't realize this until I tried to get the 2nd coil replacedI asked [redacted] who's responsibility it was to submit the warranty and he said it was mineI asked him how I was supposed to know and he said it was in the manuals I called around to other reputable HVAC companies and was surprised to learn that most of them fill out and submit the warranty for their customers or at least sit down with them after the install to explain the warranty and the importance of submitting it ASAPI would have done it immediately, had I known it wasn't automatic I ended up hiring another HVAC company to replace the 2nd coil and explained all of the problems we had with [redacted] They said by the look of the solder joints, the original installer either didn't know what he was doing or was in a really big hurry You're experience may vary but I would never rely on [redacted] 's Heating & AC for fair AC work done right the first time
