years ago I purchased Alexandrite stones from Russ *** at a
AwesomeGems.comI was very conservative when I choose the settings and during the process Russ tried encouraging me to do something "wow" with these gorgous unique stones but I didn't think I would feel comfortable wearing something that "WOWED" Knowing the value of the stones I was happy just with simple platinum settings As one gets older having a little GLAM is good for the soul Recently I asked Russ to remake the earrings and the pendant He was very excited to help me achieve what I described to him as heirloom pieces I love antique jewelry Each piece has it's own history and shows the love that someone else had for another person I wanted something like that for these unique stones Russ gave me two options he thought would look nice I purchase another smaller Alexandrite stone for the necklace and then the Jeweler crafted these stones with the detail I wanted to give these pieces of jewelry I wanted them to have their own unique charm I had so much fun in the process of creating these pieces When I got the pendant and wore it,I didn't like the way it hung on me or the platinum chain I already had that we thought would work well with this new pendant So I contacted Russ and told him, I think the pendant needs a thicker chain and maybe make it a necklace instead of a pendant He agreed It was redone by taking off the bail and connecting the pendant with a larger platinum wheat chain In the process both Russ and the Jeweler decided to put an extender on it so I could wear it longer if I choose to My experience working with Russ was AWESOME I love that he suggests things that you wouldn't think of until later These newly redesigned pieces are truly one of a kind and so gorgeous My hope is to have one of my daughters wear it when I can't anymore and then pass it on to her daughter
One other comment I would like to share is I have also purchased other diamonds from Russ or had him redo diamonds that were in pieces I just didn't wear any more I am from rural Minnesota and there aren't a lot of highly qualified jewelers in the area The one that is considered to be "The Jeweler Store" I never felt comfortable going in and getting pieces worked on, it was the attitude of the sales staff there With Russ I felt comfortable the first phone call we had He answered every question and concern I had To me the delivery of quality items is the proof one needs to be truly comfortable when you spend money on jewelry When I am in the market for another piece of beautiful jewelry, Russ will be my first call Even if I see it somewhere else I will go to Russ and he will get me a stone that will be brighter and cleaner than what someone else would sell me I really appreciated the personal service I received HIGH 5's on my experience!
