In December 2013, I bought a brand new 2013 automatic transmission Ford Fiesta from this dealership due to the great mileage eff. reported for this particular vehicle. When I test drove it, I noticed it would "skip" when changing gears. I mentioned it to the sales rep and he told me that was "normal" for this model due to a new transmission design. I took him at his work (big mistake) and bought the car. Within the last 3 years, I have had to take this vehicle in for transmission repairs multiple times due to a so called Transmission Shudder and Transmission Oil leaks on this "new " model. Each time it gets repairs, the car will last another 6-8 months before the problems starts to repeat itself each and every time. Ford needs to recall these vehicles which are junk. They are naïve to think that as customers we are expected to go out of our way, interrupting our busy lives, to fight with their service reps over appointments that are 3-4 weeks out, to get this 'quick fix' on the car when the problem persists and does not actually FIX their faulty transmission design. I look forward to fighting this all the way up to the State Level, submitting a lemon law claim, and if that doesn't work, then taking legal action against Ford (National) and Jarett-Scott Ford in Plant City.

When the customer came in, they asked if we could install the battery if they brought it in. We informed them that we could, regardless of its location. I did give a ball park estimate of $45 without collecting any vehicle information and the customer was aware that it was ABOUT $45. That was not an...

exact estimate. The battery was brought in a few minutes later and I collected all the information I needed to put together an exact price and the technicians was given the keys to begin. I entered all the data into Mitchell1 labor guide which advised to bill the job at 1.20 hours. Our hourly rate is $75.00 per hour, the industry average in our city is over $100. The technician had only removed the wheel when the customer was made aware of my pricing mistake. I apologized several times and asked if the customer wanted us to continue even though the price had changed significantly. I told her that if she wanted to deny the services at that point, there would be no charge at all. She said she did not like it but to go ahead and continue because she needed it done. So we continued after she approved the $90 charge. The technician decided it would be easier to move it to a 2 post lift rather than the 4 post lift where he had initially begun the process for easier access to the battery compartment because he does not have to reach over the lift while performing the job on a 2 post. I'm not entirely sure what the complaint is hereHe moved the vehicle and about 30 minutes later, the customer is stating that [redacted] would've installed it for free. She still did not ask us to stop the process. She says she asked us to stop but that is simply not true. Had she though, I still would have had to refuse because we were about halfway done with the service. Meaning we would have had to reinstall the old battery after it was already out. We would have gone through the entire process, accomplished nothing because the old battery was going back in, and be paid nothing. So yes, I would have refused if she asked me to at that point, which she DID NOT. I gave her the opportunity to stop our services at no cost to her before we were further in but she knowingly agreed for us to continue the service and pay the $90 fee. I will not refund any portion of that. Had someone come in and asked in a different manner AND NOT FLAT OUT LIED ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED, this would be going very different.
