Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: (1) I only wanted to inform THE OWNERS of managements attitude towards it's customers (2) [redacted] was there the whole time so am not sure what this Manager is talking about as she, as well as two others of us entered the office to check in (3) While we appreciate his gesture of trying to make the situation right, by paying for the rip in her pants, his attitude towards us was hostile And no apology or moment to hear our concern and was dismissed (4) He never did fix the t.vproblem (and yes some of us are challenged with electronics) as he stormed out without letting us say anything to him and was yelling at us (5) He left his phone at the cottage where we resided and when I stuck my head into the office to return the phone he left at our cottastarted to rant again, I had said we were sorry and he could be heard all the way over to our cottage as we were right across the driveway from the office

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: (1) I only wanted to inform  THE OWNERS of managements attitude towards it's customers.
(2)  [redacted] was there the whole time so am not sure what this Manager is talking about as she, as well as two others of us
entered the office to check in.
(3) While we appreciate his gesture of trying to make the situation right, by paying for the rip in her pants,  his attitude towards us was hostile.  And no apology or moment to hear our concern and was dismissed.
(4)  He never did fix the t.v. problem (and yes some of us are challenged with electronics) as he stormed out without letting us say anything to him and was yelling at us.
(5)  He left his phone at the cottage where we resided and when I stuck my head into the office to return the phone he left at our cottage-he started to rant again, I had said we were sorry and he could be heard all the way over to our cottage as we were right across the driveway from the office.

On 1/16/16, I made a reservation for [redacted] for 4/8/16 to 4/10/16.  [redacted] is a past guest who has stayed in this home numerous times, with the same furniture that is currently in this home.  This is the home she requested.  This is during Spring Break in Seaside.  Spring...

Break rates are usually high rates, as it’s is a busy time here, but I have always given [redacted] a great deal (half price) as she has stayed here many years in a row.

Just days prior to arrival, [redacted] called to let me know she had recently married and would not be coming down to Seaside for this annual event, but she would like to keep the reservation for some friends of hers.  [redacted] did NOT come down so I am a little confused when the writer of this complaint, says that [redacted] was present.  I know [redacted] well.  [redacted] was NOT present.
On the second day of their stay, a [redacted] and another lady came over to the office to say she had ripped her jeans on the handle to the loves seat’s recliner handle.  The home holds 6 guests and I only have the name of the person that rented the home.  I do not have a list of names of all of those guests.  [redacted] said she was staying in the home.  The home is right across the driveway from the office and where I live.  I appeared that she was staying in the home, although the writer of this complaint says she was just a friend that was visiting.  [redacted] was very upset at her jeans being ripped.  The furniture in question has been in that home the entire time I have been at Rogers inn, which is 7 years.  In that time, no one else has ever had a problem with the furniture.  [redacted] has rented this home on many occasions.  I explained that to [redacted] as she seemed to think it was highly dangerous.  I asked [redacted] what would make her happy, and she said $25.00.  I then paid [redacted] $25.00 in cash and had her sign a receipt for the money, which she did.
[redacted] came in again, the next day, to complain about the same event.  I explained to her that [redacted] had requested this unit, which has the same furniture in it as the other times she had rented it.  I added that no one else had ever had a problem and that I thought it was an isolated event.  I had thought again, that this problem had been put to rest.  This home rents often and continues to make other guests happy.
Another guest in the home, came in late in the day to say they were having problems operating the TV.  There are no problems with the TV other than the guests were having trouble with the flat screen technology.  Most TV’s are flat screen these days and most guests prefer them.  Most are also familiar with how to switch from one device to the other, but occasionally, someone does have difficulties and I do try to help.  I transferred the office phone to my cell phone, locked the office and went over to the home to help.  I see nothing of this mentioned in the complaint.  When I got in the home, all the guests wanted to do was argue about the sofa in question.  I tried, in front of these guests to reproduce the problem of sitting on the recliner handle.  I could not accomplish the task and again, said I thought it was an isolated event.  The ladies did not like my answer and all of them started yelling at me.  I told them I had shut the office to come over to fix the TV.  That I had reimbursed [redacted] for the jeans and saw no need to keep re-visiting this issue.  That I had done all I could for them.  The owner of this home was advised of the issue and since no one else had ever had a problem, saw no reason to replace good furniture with new.  I tried to show the ladies how to operate the TV, which they did not want to listen to. I was in fact sitting in the exact place where the guests (or visiting friend?) said she had ripped her jeans.   I am unable to stay in the home with them.  The home does have 2 TV’s, the other being the older style of TV.  Since the ladies were unwilling to even try, I returned to the busy office, not knowing how I could help them in any useful way.
I have included the check in form, which clearly is NOT signed by [redacted], who was never present during their stay.  I have also included the signed receipt to [redacted] for the amount she requested of $25.00.
