Review: On Wednesday, March 5, 2014 my vehicle's oil light came on and it was towed to [redacted] . The mechanic specifically told me that whoever did my last oil change put the oil filter on backwards which chopped the o ring and that this resulted in engine damage. There was no prior oil leakage. The failure occured while the vehicle was in motion causing all the oil to spill out. By the time the oil light came on the damage was already done to the engine due to the improper installation of the oil filter.

Rohrer performed my the last maintenance service. My 2004 [redacted] was Inspected on 06/07/13 and last two oil changes were done on 03/22/13 and 11/06/13 at 106167 miles.

I spoke with [redacted] from Rohrer at the [redacted], PA location on/or about 3/6/13 and gave him my present mileage of 109,400. He told me my vehicle was past oil change guidelines (vehicle was at 109,400 - 106167 = 3233). Although the recommended oil change by Rohrer is 3000, the manual for a 2004 [redacted], synethic oil, reads 7500 - 12000. It is not uncommon for an individual to wait until 5000 to change their oil which would NOT cause engine damage or an o ring to be chopped. [redacted] from Rohrer said he would get back to me. Several days went by without a return call, so I reached out to [redacted] again and was directed to speak with [redacted] @ ###-###-####. I again explained the incident to **. [redacted] and told him it was not in my best interst to repair the engine but to trade the vehicle which still had an outstanding loan. I implied that I was seeking some sort of compensation for the loss of my vehicle do to the improper installation of the oil filter which caused the o ring to be chopped . **. [redacted] said he would speak with his associates and get back to me. It has now been two weeks and still no return call. A certified letter was sent to

I had my vehicle serviced by Rohrer because they were highly recommended by several individuals and am taken back that I am being treated in this matter. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but a company of their stature should be able to recify their wrongdoings and stand behind their work. On certified letter was sent on March 24th and signed for to the CEO. To this date I have not received any sort of communication - not even an apology. They messed up my car.Desired Settlement: Some sort of communication from them with hopefully some sort of compensation for their screw up and for their lack of professionalism which caused me great distress. Just ignoring the issue doesn't make it go away, it just infuriates people. Have a little respect.
