Horrible customer serviceI've had to call several times for technical support and also for billing, always excessive hold times (30-minutes) and only to consistently get somebody in another country who either does not listen or does not understand what I'm sayingthe only way to get anything resolved is holding longer to speak with a supervisor We love the product, but when it doesn't work or you need support, it's awful

OMG, never buy a RokuThey only work for less then two hours then breakThen when you call support you might get a person on the phone in over minsThen they don't speak englishAnd you wasted hr of your time to set up the device, and they got your credit card info so they can trick you with channels they say are free but it's free trial then they charge youNow I have to waste more time going back to *** to return this peice of crap@roku you suck! #DontEverBuyARoku

I recommend you not use Roku because you can't get a customer service on line in the US; the foreign reps will go round and round trying to update online and the software fails*** has a similar device and their customer service ask on the website when do you want a call and if you click immediate the phone rings as quick as you quit typingThat is why they are such a great company and no in my opinionSo save yourself some misery

poor support no help return it to store

I woke up to my ROKU burning with my kids in the house.... It's caused all type of fire damage to furniture etc. I called customer service about my unfortunate situation... They spoke to me as if I was a criminal asking for pictures more worried about that than if the ROKU would have killed us smh... I was told I'll receive one Wednesday after reporting Friday. So today is Friday a week later no ROKU... I call in they say no one reported replacement... I was lied to directly from a live agent that's horrible I feel stupid... I just want ppl to know ROKU does not care about their customers they are inconsiderate liers I would like to take them to court... If it wasn't for my nose we would have died and there taking me through [redacted] just for a replacement because no money was involved it's was gift to me... For this reason I share [redacted] ROKU careless company. I worked for a living have I job I took time to notify them and end up being late for work because they couldn't comprehend well so busy tryna deny me replacement or just making it difficult not good customer deuce period smh... Now a week later I'm taking time to file this complaint because I don't want them to get away with what could have easily been MURDER seriously smh but this is very inconvenient to me and just ruin my day over a $30 replacement smh to share this...

We bought a Roku "stick"for streaming TV from Roku.com. The device doesn't work. We followed the setup instructions to the letter and the TV screen keeps showing a message that says the device cannot connect the the internet. Our internet service works perfectly for our computers. We tried contacting Roku's "customer service"and four times got a message that said we couldn't connect to them! Finally we got through to Roku people in India whose English was terrible. The Indians kept asking the same questions over and over or giving the same advice (not working) over and over and simply would not understand that we had done exactly as they said. My wife teaches English to foreign language speakers in America and knows that the hardest thing to learn is to understand what an English speaker is saying. Roku's Indians are a perfect example of this. My wife spent an hour and a half on the phone with the Indians and got nowhere. She was in tears, especially since the Indians refused to authorize return of the malfunctioning device. Roku is a VERY bad company!!!!

The Roku 3 I purchased from the Roku website was faulty. I called their customer service number just to be put on hold for 15 minutes after the customer service rep thanked me for giving him my order number and told me was going to look up the order... he never picked the phone back up.

I ended jumping on their chat and trying that method. The rep on the chat feature told me she would send me an address to send the Roku 3 player back to, and she never did.

Roku Customer Service: 0 (zero), Awful

Purchased LT2700 directly from Roku. Remote worked for 5 minutes. Made 6 calls to Roku support to get new remote, they would not ship me one. Broke down and purchased new remote at my expense & it would not work with device. 4 more support calls later, Roku agreed device defective. I had to return it at my $12 expense. They received it on 4/3/15. As of 4/17 and 3 more calls I was informed they were out of the LT which is why I had not received a replacement. I told them this was unacceptable and insisted on a refund. Supervisor said they WOULD NOT provide refund. They only agreed to send me a Roku 1 instead (equivalent) after I threatened to contact the CA Attorney General to investigate their business practices. they still refused to refund me for the remote I purchased and was required to send to them along with the original system. (out $20 on that). Read support reviews online, customer service is atrocious; the reps are courteous, but that is all. Revdex.com should be ashamed to give company an A+ rating based on number of complaints alone. Disgusted with company & extremely disappointed with Revdex.com...I expected a D or F rating, as despite your information they do not make good on their warranty claims nor returns without a huge fight. their accreditation should be rescinded.

Purchased one of their products less than a year ago from a store. Worked fine until now, where the hardware went bad and not receiving WiFi signals or connecting with remote. Contacted support who waste an hour of my life having me do the same troubleshooting steps over and over just to tell me that because the product was purchased before 4/9/2015 its only covered for 90days and mot 12 months. Why should a consumer trust a product that the company who makes it isn't confident enough in its durability to back for the first year of its useful life. Do yourself a favor and purchase a better brand with a better track record and better after sale support.

Back when we purchased our ROKU TV there was a free trial offer with Amazon Prime. We took the trial on December 27th 2014 and subsequently cancelled it during the trial period. It is now June 11, 2015 and my husband mysteriously received on his credit card bill a $99 charge from Amazon Prime for their annual membership fee which we never requested or authorized!!! We will not sign up for another trial subscription ever again with one of Roku's partners!!

The product is very good, but when they have issues about billing the customer service is terrible.

Bought a roku express for streaming services and love it but billing is a rip off, dont give them and bank of credit card info and using the obvious bait and switch tactic with free 60 day trial and billing after 30 days. Notified support prior to end of 30 days I had recieved and email stating it was ending, after a long conversation was told it was indeed supposed to be a 60 day and it would be resolved. 2 weeks later they bill my credit card after the 30 days so I email support request a refund on this and not too happy after making them aware in the first place. 1 week later still no response, call customer support again and its just ridiculous dealing with this company, still no resolve, the offer was an add on device I clicked, no expiration date given just a 60 day trial offer for showtime to sign up which sounds like a bait and switch tactic to me. Similar problems with signup to hbo now, couldnt get it to accept my payment address info so called roku support only to end in another futile attempt to get any resolve, used google play and no
Issues what so ever folks. Do yourselves a favor dont give roku any payment info, they clearly are not worth the headache, deal directly with the streaming services or a more reputable business
