Review: On the Friday before Labor day my daughter hit a curb and damaged the oil pan to my car. She was on the shoulder of the service road to Sunrise Hwy, by the time I got to her there was a cop there with the tow truck and the car was on the back of the tow truck the truck driver told me it would be $375, I told him to drop the car I have AAA and roadside assistance with my insurance company and I did not authorize him to take my car. He told me he was not allowed to drop the car and I could go through my insurance and they can pay for it and I can come get the car tomorrow. I argued with him until he pulled off with my car. I called the company to see if they looked at the car at all and got there answering service who told me there not open until Tuesday. I left a message with them to have the manager call me he did and right away he was argumentative and said no one else would be open on a 3 day wknd. I called the precinct who called this company and told them this company has stolen my car and they refused to help. I picked up my car today and THIS COMPANY HAS NOW CHARGED ME FOR STORAGE FOR THE DAYS THEY WERE CLOSED.Desired Settlement: I want my money back.

Our company was called by the Suffolk County Police department to tow there car . The Town of Islip makes the towing and storage rates , not our company .

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

They may have been called by the Suffolk County Police but never said anything about them being closed the next 3 DAYS. In fact the driver told me to come to the shop the next day so incurred storage fees for 3 days if that was the case I could have had the car brought to my house which in turn should have only been the $375 not the 3 extra days of storage when they knew they were not gong to be open all weekend. When I called the shop that night and the manager called me back he explained there was nothing I could do I had to wait until Tuesday even though someone was at the shop he had the car blocked in when he could have just given the car back to me that night. see the picture attached.

We told you at the accident scene that we would be closed until Monday morning . We gave the driver the option to have the car towed home but he told us he had no money to pay the bill . I am sorry but If you were driving a car with insurance , They would have paid the towing bill in full and you would not be so upset . If you check with the Revdex.com , you will see we have no other complaints in the last 35 years of being in business .

That's a lie!!!!! I have 3 other people to attest to that fact as well. That's such a lie that the shop was not open Monday they did not open until Tuesday. The only reason I found out they were not open until Tuesday is when I called the shop to talk to someone at the shop about my car the answering service told me they were closed until Tuesday. I told service to have a manager call me back and he did and was extremely argumentative and told me no shop would be open on Saturday on a "3 DAY WEEKEND ANYWAY". I called the precinct that called this tow company to tell them they stole my car because again now they were holding my car without my ok for 3 extra days which I DID NOT AUTHORIZE because THE DRIVER NEVER TOLD ME THEY WERE CLOSED FOR THE WEEKEND.
