Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Once again, I am rejecting this response because the majority of what the [redacted] has stated is falseTo be specific, his company assured us many times from 09/to 09/that they were doing everything they could to coordinate with JEA to stop the sewer water from flooding back into the rental property and public areaI spoke personally to the office worker at the plumber's office on Monday (09/26) and informed her to cease any additional work on the property as we were assured that JEA would be out to fix this ASAP Worried that no progress was being made, my wife asked on multiple occasions throughout the week if she needed to call JEA directly, but the plumber assured her that an emergency request had already been made Friday morning, our tenant was making plans to temporarily move into a hotel since the problem had still not been resolved In an attempt to avoid the move, the tenant called JEA directly and to both her and our surprise, JEA had no idea there was any problem at the property JEA told her that they had not received any calls about the issue, but that they would be out there immediately to fix the public health hazardWithin three hours from her call, the problem was fixed The plumber claims to have called JEA multiple times throughout the week starting on Monday (09/26), but JEA’s official ticketing system does not have a single record to indicate that he has ever called to date Between the tenant, myself, and my wife, we have called JEA three times about this issue, and JEA has a ticket recorded for each of these calls My wife and I called merely to check inquire about the plumber’s call history, but they still tracked these callsIt is funny that the plumber claims to have called multiple times, but JEA has no record of this (JEA encouraged us to issue a public record request for copies)It is also funny that for four days straight they claimed to be doing everything they can to coordinate an emergency fix with JEA to no avail, but hours after the tenant called, the problem was resolved No party should have to pay for this plumber’s incompetence, not the owner of the property, not the tenant, not JEA and not Comcast Regards, [redacted]

I reject his answer an responds
I spoke with Mr *** on Thursday or Friday of last weekHe stated to me that JEA says we never called themSo I called JEA and there told me we called in Tuesday afternoon of the week work is in questionThen I ask them about us calling in on Friday morning and they stated if someone called in before us to JEA they would not start a new work order ticketI gave the phone number to there tenant that morning and I called minutes or so after I gave her the phone number to JEAMe and Mr *** have agreed that I can put a Lien on his rental home when we spoke FridayI quess what I do not understand is Jea should pay for this bill, and also Mr *** does not want to pay for the first invoice for discovering the problem that was on city propertyWe also waited on Friday the day the problem was fixed to see what was wrong and Comcast cut there sewer line and installed there cable to the subdivision through there sewer lineYes I can not fix that.
Thanks

Miss [redacted] called us to unstop a sewer line at her rental home. We went out and attempted to unstop sewer line. We could not get it unstopped so we called 811 for locates. Then we called Jea. Jea said we need to prove to them that it is on the city easement. We can not dig on city property so...

we have to wait for the 811 service to do locates for us. We explain to them what is wrong and they determine if it is and emergency. We told them it was and emergency but they said we will locate as soon as possible. So we are at there mercy to when they do locates for us to do the work. I spoke with the tenants on Friday at 9:00 am and sent 3 men to the rental home because locates have not been done yet to run our sewer machine down sewer line to help out, We also called JEA again and ask if they would please come out 2 hours latter they did. They also explain to me that if it is not there problem there would be a charge for them coming out. But I said please come out they need your help. They came out and determine the problem was on there property and dug up the sewer line. MY supervisor stayed and what him and JEA found was when the house was built Comcast had cut the sewer line and laid there cable for the subdivision through the there sewer line. Until today Mr an Miss [redacted] did not no this or care to they just kept saying you could not unstop the sewer line and we are not going to pay you. They did not care what was wrong or what steps we took to try and help them. We followed the steps setup by the JEA and 811 locates. I tried to provide them time and numbers for job tickets but they did not want them. I did provide them to the tenant and she called and verified we did call as we had stated. The tenant was upset and crying on Friday and we tried to do the right thing  and help her out. I have 7 hour in this job 2 different trips. The first trip determined the location and the second trip with the JEA men and I also had 3 men on the job at this time. We charged them $530.00. for both trips. We charge 110.00 and hour. I do have a picture of the cable installed through there sewer but my supervisor is on vacation this we that went out there to the job. I tried to explain all of this to Mr and Miss [redacted] but they said we dropped the ball and did not do our work correctly. I explained to Mr [redacted] today that I was going to lien his home that we did provide a service. I did try to explain to Miss [redacted] that Jea or comcast would probably pay for this bill, but she did not care. I have reach out to both Mr and Miss [redacted] to explain. If either one would like to call me ([redacted]) they can I am an easy going person that will work with them. Thanks

I am rejecting this response because:  Once again, I am rejecting this response because the majority of what the [redacted] has stated is false. To be specific, his company assured us many times from 09/26 to 09/30 that they were doing everything they could to coordinate with JEA to stop the sewer water from flooding back into the rental property and public area. I spoke personally to the office worker at the plumber's office on Monday (09/26) and informed her to cease any additional work on the property as we were assured that JEA would be out to fix this ASAP.   Worried that no progress was being made, my wife asked on multiple occasions throughout the week if she needed to call JEA directly, but the plumber assured her that an emergency request had already been made.  Friday morning, our tenant was making plans to temporarily move into a hotel since the problem had still not been resolved.  In an attempt to avoid the move, the tenant called JEA directly and to both her and our surprise, JEA had no idea there was any problem at the property.  JEA told her that they had not received any calls about the issue, but that they would be out there immediately to fix the public health hazard. Within three hours from her call, the problem was fixed.
The plumber claims to have called JEA multiple times throughout the week starting on Monday (09/26), but JEA’s official ticketing system does not have a single record to indicate that he has ever called to date.  Between the tenant, myself, and my wife, we have called JEA three times about this issue, and JEA has a ticket recorded for each of these calls.  My wife and I called merely to check inquire about the plumber’s call history, but they still tracked these calls. It is funny that the plumber claims to have called multiple times, but JEA has no record of this (JEA encouraged us to issue a public record request for copies). It is also funny that for four days straight they claimed to be doing everything they can to coordinate an emergency fix with JEA to no avail, but 3 hours after the tenant called, the problem was resolved.  No party should have to pay for this plumber’s incompetence, not the owner of the property, not the tenant, not JEA and not Comcast.

Sorry that we could not make it out on time. That morning we had 4 men call in sick with the flu, All 4 men that called in are plumbers and not helpers. So we had 4 less truck on the street. I understand you being upset but we tried moving thing around to get to you but we could not. We should have called you but we trying to get someone to your home as fast as we could. Out of the 4 men sick only 1 has returned and I do understand how upset you are as I am to. Sorry again good luck in the Future.
