First, Rollit Motors regrets any issues Mr. [redacted] is having with his vehicle. However Mr.[redacted] was informed prior to his purchase that the vehicle was SALVAGE TITLE and was presented with available history ([redacted]) as HE STATED on complaint, PRIOR to him purchasing the...

vehicle. Furthermore, Mr.[redacted] was allowed to take vehicle with no obligation to purchase for 2 days, at which time he had a mechanic of his choosing toinspect the vehicle, nothing wrong was found. According to Mr. [redacted] he took the vehicle to the local [redacted] dealer and was informed that it needed some work totaling $1372.69 (this included some cosmetic work involving door trim, which is in no way a covered item ). These issues were months later, well past our dealer warranty. At any rate, Mr. [redacted] was never lied to or deceived, he knew what he was buying, but in the interest of customer satisfaction Mr.[redacted] has been offered a full reimbursement for all repairs, Plus given another option in which Rollit Motors will buy the vehicle back for full purchase price plus repairs done. This complaint is Mr. [redacted]'s attempt to collect the following from Rollit Motors.a)Travel Expense: $1,009.81 (2015 IRS standard mileage rate) 57.5 cents per mile X 1,756.2 milesb)Time spent requiring work absence at $25 per hour x 70 hours (to date)  $1,750.00Unfortunately, We are unable to comply with Mr. [redacted]'s demands, And hope tp resolve this matter in a amicable manner. Rollit Motors feels that the options presented to Mr. [redacted] in the name of customer satisfaction by far exceed any and all expectations, furthermoreRollit Motors feels that Revdex.com standards have been met in all possible ways.[redacted]General Sales ManagerROLLIT MOTORS[redacted]

Mrs. [redacted] is being asked to pay the difference in REGISTRATION CHARGES on HER plates ..... the reason for the up-charge is not explained to us by DMV....she is free to contact them and verify the reason or reasons.....However, as stated in her paperwork she is responsible for the charges on her...

registration...when we originally called to let her know of the issue she made it clear that she had wanted to pay for only 2 months due to the fact that she was only approved for a certain amount and that amount did not cover the longer registration charges so ROLLIT MOTORS decided to give her the time that she needed (or would have had if there was no up-charge from DMV, after 2 months she would have had to pay a new year registration to DMV )..Rollit Motors feels that we acted more then reasonable and have provided all possible help to Mrs. [redacted] that could be expected and more...possible solutions have been discussed with Mrs [redacted]. I apologize for any inconvenience that Mrs. [redacted] has experienced. COPIES OF HER CONTRACT ARE ON FILE AND CAN BE FAXED however if Mrs. [redacted] can direct her attention to the second page of her contract Item "F" she will clearly see that she was only charged $145.49 for what turned out to be roughly 14 months of plates on a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and an actual charge of over $600. We have acted professional and well within the boundaries of Revdex.com guidelines and again regret any inconvenience Mrs. [redacted] might experience.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. In regards to the attached "we owe" I took the car to the Subaru dealership after I signed documents at the Rillit dealership. The salesman at Rollit told me that a warranty would be included.  I didnt know that that was something that had to be on a we owe.  The sales manager kept putting me off and delaying giving me a direct answer after I left the dealership. The sales manager repeatedly stated that he would have to talk to [redacted] and that its not a problem. And that financing would have to be secured.  When after multiple attempts to contact [redacted] and finally going back to the dealership [redacted] stated that no promises were made and that they would sell me a warranty at cost.  All this happened after they found out that I lost my new job.  I told them I dont want the car if I have to replace the clutch.  I simply cannot afford it.  At which point the dealership informed me that my loan had funded and I was stuck...  There was nothing that they could do. At which point the sales manager began to say that the car I traded in has problems. The Subaru dealership was right about the clutch, the clutch is slipping and has been dificult to get the car in to second gear at times, I have been driving the car as little as possible to avoid getting stranded.  The clutch needs to be replaced.  The same car that I regularly have serviced at Subaru that was still under warranty and the dealership never pointed out any such issues. I think that Rollit should have to pay for a new clutch or no less than 50% for the replacement.  With the registration, I agree with getting a refund for the amount that I was overcharged.  However I dont want to have to ever step foot in that dealership again.  I(t will be extremely uncomfortable and high conflict.  I would prefer that they mail me a check or actually put the funds twords the registration themselves.

Regards,

The GM there first treated me so well, we'll sponsor you help you out best I could when I was going to give him money and when I decided I didn't want the truck it was all over. The paperwork they did was BS. they let me walk out of the place without paying them a dime and then goes and takes $12.5 off my credit card over the phone without a credit card slip or anything. So I took the truck back with the keys better than I left with it and they wouldn't refund me the money. They do not have enough workers there and I've heard the owner is a dumbass. I wouldn't reccomend anyone in the right mind to go there. I'm 21 years old and all they tried to do was take advantage of me.

Pertaining to the first complaint It states clearly on the contract if the customer does not receive the amount of owed registration he/she can bring in the documents showing the amount and get reimbursed for the full charged amount on the contract. On the second complaint there was no...

promises made about replacing the clutch, we did how ever offer a warranty at half price. As seen in document one the we owe signed by Mr. [redacted] There was nothing of the sort promised. Mr. [redacted] stated in his complaint that the problem happened 5 weeks after purchasing the vehicle which is far past the warranty we give on every vehicle. In closing we are willing and prepared to refund the difference in the registration on the vehicle. We at Rollit Motors Strive to achieve 100% customer satisfaction we regret that Mr. [redacted] is having any issues but it is clearly not our fault. We feel that we have dealt 100% within the guidelines of the Revdex.com and have broken no promises.

I apologize for the inconvenience, and will take care of the problem , my name is Ray C[redacted] and I am the G.M here, so please call and ask for me or call me direct at [redacted]  (my cell)
I will not only waive the $100 and fill your tank but I will also make an appointment with our...

service shop to check the brakes (after you call and tell me when you are available to go to the shop) I will have them stop what they are working on check your truck immediately . There is, however,  one thing I cannot do and that is fill anything on CUDL, since CUDL requires a monthly fee (membership)  that is extremely expensive for independent dealers. However if you put me in contact with your loan officer at your credit union I should be able to provide any necessary paperwork to finalize this matter. I hope this is satisfactory to you. Again I apologize and will be having a word with Brandon and the rest of my sales force.
Sincerely,
Ray C[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. Thank you very much to Ray for responding to me, however, I did call and his staff told me that he was not available and would leave him a message. I will try to call him again on the direct line that he provided.

Review: I bought a vehicle in September of 2014 as I was told it was a good running car. Four months later in January of 2015 the transmission of the vehicle went out which put me into thousands of dollars in repairs. When it happened I called the owner [redacted] to see if there was anything he could help me with he said he would help and talk to his mechanics and give me a call back which I then never heard back from him. As my mechanic went on to do the work he said there was evidence that someone had been working on the transmission by possibly covering up the problem for the time being. I feel that this dealership is deceptive in knowingly selling me a vehicle that is defective with transmission problems. I was also promised a spare tire for my vehicle which I never received. I would never go on to recommend this dealership to anyone as they do not handle business professionally.

Review: I found a vehicle using [redacted] car buying service that was advertised nationally by Rollit Motors to [redacted] customers. Upon inquiry, Rollit Motors told me that the vehicle I was looking at had a salvage title and explained that this was due to theft. I was told that because the vehicle was stolen, the insurance company had to pay it off. As any good car buyer, I had a mechanic come out to inspect the vehicle. This same story regarding theft was given to him also. To that end, because the mechanic could not find any visible issues with the car, I decided to move forward to make the purchase. At that point I drove to [redacted] from [redacted] under the impression I was getting a great deal on a salvage vehicle that is simply lower in price because it was at one point stolen and had no major issues. Upon Arriving at the dealership, I was again told the story regarding theft with another witness who made the drive with me present.

Since I made the purchase of the vehicle, there have been many unexpected electrical issues. I have taken the car to 2 different auto shops and even a specialized dealership to perform the necessary electrical work. Each of the shops did not know why these electrical issues were occurring, as they were quite strange in nature.

Nearly 3 months after purchasing the vehicle, I received the title from the dealership and it clearly stated that the vehicle had a salvage title due to flood damage, which explains why it has been having serious electrical issues costing many thousands of dollars. Upon following up with the previous shops that had worked on the car, each said these electrical issues can be associated with a flood damaged vehicle.

In that period of time before receiving the title, I made numerous attempts to contact the dealership regarding the strange issues I had been experiencing and at no period in time did they mention flood damage and maintained ignorance. Rollit motors offer me $500 dollars to help pay for these major electrical issues well before I ever found out about the flood damage. It is also important to note that on the website where the car was advertised, there was no mention of flood damage. Many of my family members and the local mechanic that went to inspect the vehicle first viewed the advertisement and the [redacted] link that was provided, yet there was no indication of flood damage from the information that was advertised regarding the vehicle. To that end, I believe the dealership engaged in fraudulent activity as a means to make a sale, and this false information ultimately caused me to make an uninformed purchase that I would not have made otherwise.

I also purchased a comprehensive protection plan for the car from Rollit Motors. However, after finding out that the vehicle had flood damage, I contacted the protection provider, (which had no idea that the car had a salvage title or flood damage) and they told me that my protection is significantly reduced because the vehicle has a salvage title due to flood damage - I would not have paid for such protection knowing that it would be significantly less than what I thought I was buying.

Lastly, I purchased this vehicle through [redacted] as a lender. I have documentation from [redacted] that was provided by Rollit Motors clearly stating that the vehicle did not even have a salvage title to begin with and no flood damage. Had [redacted] known this, they would not have financed the vehicle whatsoever. To that end, I would not have purchased the vehicle had I been given accurate information and not a fabricated story regarding the vehicles history!

I contact the dealership asking for them to take the car back and reimburse me for the repairs, travel costs associated ultimately due to the bad information they provided me, and for time spent dealing with this issue. While the dealership did ultimately agree, after significant effort, to return the car and reimburse me for the repair costs, they do not wish to pay for any time that was spent dealing with this or travel expenses to return the vehicle as a means to correct their wrong doing. I suggested that I take the vehicle to a local dealership ([redacted], [redacted]) of their choice and that they can make arrangements to have it brought back down to [redacted] and they rejected this proposal. While I would love to return this car, I do not think it is reasonable to incur additional expenses to transport the vehicle back to [redacted] as a means to correct their mistake!Desired Settlement: I request that Rollit Motors issue a full return and refund of the total purchase price of the vehicle and the protection plan. In addition, I seek reimbursement for all expenses incurred;

Travel Expense (to return vehicle): Asked for $600, which would pay for my gas to [redacted], a hotel to stay at for 1 night, and airfare back to [redacted].

Costs associated with Repair: $1,372.69 - $500.00 (paid by Rollit Motors) = $827.69 owed

Total out of pocket expenses: $2,572.69

Review: 1.I paid for 2 years registration for the car I bought. I only received the remainder of the current year for registration. It is documented on the contract. 2. Sales man promised either a warranty or to get the clutch in the car replaced. Sales person also promised homelink compass mirror. I applied for the loan with an offer letter from a potential new employer, and because of the [redacted] act my offer was declined. at which point the dealership submitted the loan knowing I didn't have a job. Submitted the contract and did not follow through with replacing the clutch. they then stated that I could buy a warranty. The dealership then told me that there was a lot of things wrong with the car that I traded in so they had to fix those issues implying that we were even. The car had no issues that I was aware of and the Subaru dealership made no mention of issues. I took it to Subaru for regular services.Desired Settlement: I would like a the clutch replaced by a certified dealership. I would also like the 2 years of registration that I paid for.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

In regards to the attached "we owe" I took the car to the Subaru dealership after I signed documents at the Rillit dealership. The salesman at Rollit told me that a warranty would be included. However I dont want to have to ever step foot in that dealership again. I(t will be extremely uncomfortable and high conflict. I would prefer that they mail me a check or actually put the funds twords the registration themselves.

Regards,

I had a positive experience with this used car dealer located at [redacted]. They were not pushy and the price of the vehicle was more than fair. The whole purchasing process was efficient and smooth. I would recommend Rollit Motors if you're interested in purchasing a used vehicle. Definitely check out their inventory. I am happy with the vehicle that I purchased.

After wandering used car lots and dealing with pushy salesmen, Rollit Motors was like an oasis in the desert. The staff was genuine, sincere, and honest. They are a fledgling company but don't let that fool you, the deals are unbelievable which, is why I'm glad I caught them on the way up. I was offered the best warranty I've ever had on a car before I asked for anything. Rollit motors gave me so much more than expected and I would highly recommend them.

Review: When the company's employee came to my home to retrieve the car, he had told me in the presence of my son and girlfriend that the owner or manager would be returning my cash deposit of $2,000.00 that I had given them in cash sne we've had problems with the car deal. After communicating with the owner or manager, he refused to return the funds.Desired Settlement: Return of $2,000.00 cash as I had paid him in cash. He can mail it back to me to the address listed in the complaint.

Review: This company contacted me after my the final purchase was made on my vehicle in October, saying that I owed them for unpaid DMV charges. When I met with the sales gentleman in [redacted] he mentioned that he had made a mistake he needed to make sure to include my plates in total cost of the vehicle. After all the numbers were met I arranged for the funds to be advanced from my credit union and paid for the vehicle. Assuming from our previous conversation the reason he went back to correct the paperwork from the original meeting in [redacted] about the tags that this was now taken care of. Now today 3/24/2015 I get a phone call from a [redacted] saying that if I didn't pay the "unpaid" balance by the end of the day he was sending me to collections. Which this is not true. This was from October and now you are telling me 5 months later you are going to call me the day of and tell me that you are sending me to collection on a balance that I thought was taken care of. Nonetheless since I have purchased the vehicle I have had to take it in multiple times from the media hub that still does not work as well as an issue with the vehicle unlocking on its own with is a dangerous thing for a single mom. I believe that this is a mistake with the employee not with me. He was the one handling the paperwork and negotiating the vehicle. Once the vehicle was turned over to me and I begin to have issues with the jeep the employee told me to go to the dealership it was out of his hands. I have documentation showing all of our conversations about what he said and the bill of sale showing that the dmv fees were included for the 14 monthsDesired Settlement: I need my account adjusted to a $0 balance I do not believe I owe them any more monies than the dollar amount I have already paid them.
