originally called me I was not feeling well due to a bad sinus infection and was put on medication for it. I didn't return to work until monday 1/*/15 . This was the day the consumer called me and I took his call. He then accused me of lying and avoiding him which was totally false and not my intention. The consumer then got belligerent with me at which time I ended the conversation . No further contact was attempted. Furthermore, I have had new air purgers defective . The cost of an 1 1/4 " air purger is $ 13 not $ 629.66. Even though it was not my fault the fitting broke if the consumer hah not gotten belligerent with me I would may have worked something out with him. Being in business, things such as this occasionally may occur and I have always done the right thing. To question my integrity would lean towards a defamation of my character that will not be taken lightly.

Roman Plumbing was engaged to fix a water leak in our kitchen. They arrived thirty minutes late and the master plumber did not fix the leak; he allowed his apprentice to do so and we were charged 140 dollars for 30 minutes. In addition, the apprentice took our brand new valve with him. We had to call numerous times to ask the master plumber to return our property. The valve was not broken but in pristine condition. Also, we felt that this firm did not fully address the leak problem; the plumber simply badmouthed our choice of faucet and did not find the complete source of the leak. He only changed one valve and used the valve we provided to him. The company is unprepared and seemingly unscrupulous in lifting the valve thinking that we were distracted and did not see what he did. Customers should engage another plumber because Roman Plumbing comes late to the job and does a shoddy fix-up. Further, we had to pay full price for a master plumber when an apprentice fixed part of the leak.

Review: Vinnie, owner of Roman plumbing, came to my house 6/*/2015 to repair the seal on upstairs toilet as it was causing a leak down into the lower floor. Since he "repaired" it, the leak is significantly worse, now with damage to our custom wood on the floor below. I have contacted Vinnie several times since we realized it was still a problem. Everytime I contact him by text or phone, he states he'll get back to me, and rarely does. He did agree to come last Wednesday, 7/**/2015. He never came and never called to reschedule. I have contacted him again by text and phone on 7/**/2015, again without so much as a phone call or text in return. I am forced to get another plumber to repair this as it is causing more damage to our home. We can no longer trust that Vinnie will do what he says he will. Especially as his "turn around time" to get back to our house to finish the job has been months in the past (for other issues) as well.Desired Settlement: I just want a refund of the money spent for this. I will pay another plumber who will honor his guarantee of work done.

Review: Plumber came over to install a new expansion tank, which should be a fairly simple process, however, while tightening the expansion tank onto the air purger, the plumber cracked the air purger, which was over tightened. I know this because I was standing right there watching the install. Plumber and I heard a loud pop and he looked back at me and responded "ohh that didn't sound good". Both plumber and myself acknowledged it didn't sound good. He finished the install and we paid him in full ($140/hr for plumber and helper). Several days later we noticed the air purger leaking water, onto the new expansion tank and boiler, and created air in our lines as well. We contacted plumber and explained our concerns. He then said to call and remind him tomorrow, which I did. I was unable to reach him, after 5 phone calls with left messages to call him. We never heard back after a week I then call from another line, which he didn't recognize, and he answered immediately. I calmly asked to please come back and fix the error, which he then denied ever took place. He claims the part was faulty and he had nothing to do with it. I contacted several plumbers to obtain a professional opinion and they verified that yes indeed, the part was over tightened. Furthermore, I called the manufacturer of the air purger, and inquired whether or not it's common for these parts to breakdown or become faulty in any way. The manufactured responded, that in his 29 years of industry experience he has never come across an air purger produced defectively. He also responded "it's basically a thick chunk of metal and he never heard of a part of this type to crack on its own. Plumber denied any affiliation to crack and blames the crack and leak on the manufacturer stating "the part was defective." Lastly, we never had one problem or leak with air purger prior to plumber stepping foot into our home. I believe Plumber knows the labor to fix part is extensive and basically refused to come back and hung up on usDesired Settlement: We want this as public knowledge and will pursue small claims on our own. If Revdex.com has any freedom to support our claim and reach out to us or plumber, that would be ideal. It's the principal of poor integrity and work ethic. He was not accountable and did not stand by his work. Terrible

On the contrary to what the plumber stated in his most recent response, here is my response: 1. The first time the issue was brought to the plumber’s attention was on Wednesday, December [redacted]. Plumber acknowledged the issue and asked for me to call him tomorrow, which I did. On the contrary to what plumbers states, the call didn’t take place on Monday, January [redacted], it took place on Tuesday January [redacted] at approximately 11:30 am. I called and left messages for plumber on Thursday, January *, Friday, January [redacted], and Monday January [redacted]. On Tuesday, January [redacted], I called plumber from my wife’s cell phone (a phone number I knew he wouldn’t recognize), and he answered immediately. I find it odd that he is back to work on Monday the [redacted], and not only didn’t take my call then, but made no attempt to return any of my previous messages. I also find it odd, that as soon as I called plumber from an unknown number, he answered immediately. 2. Plumber states Quote - “consumer got belligerent when we spoke and I ended the conversation”. This also is not true. Here’s what actually took place. When I finally got a hold of plumber, and reminded him of the issue, plumber told me he was too busy and that I should get another plumber in to fix the work. I then responded, “Why would I call another plumber and pay them to fix something you broke?”. Plumber responded “I didn’t’ break anything.” I responded “Excuse me, then who broke the part????”. Plumber then responded “it was a bad part”. I then responded “but it’s been operating perfectly fine before you came here”. I reminded him that when he over tightened the expansion tank, we both heard a loud pop. Plumber turned to me and said “ohh that didn’t sound good”. Plumber responded in an agitated tone “I know what I said…..I didn’t break the part”. My tone then changed to frustration, in response to the plumber’s in accountability to the situation. Plumber also said to me “if you think I’m coming back to your house and work for nothing, you are crazy”. I then said, “my wife and I are reasonable people and are willing to work with you, but you need to stand behind your work”. Plumber then hung up abruptly. 3. Plumber states the cost of the part being $13.00, which we don’t disagree with, however, plumber fails to mention, and knows full well, that the issue at hand is the labor to install, which will run hundreds of dollars. Since the incident, we have had three plumbers to our home to evaluate the issue, and all three plumbers stated, it appears that the expansion tank was over tightened, which caused the air purger to crack. (One plumber actually stated that you need to hand tighten expansion tank, then test it for leaks, and if it doesn’t leak you leave alone. He also stated that if you do need to tighten further, you tighten no more than a ¼ of a turn). Roman plumber (ours), never tested for leak after hand tightening, and went way more than a ¼ turn, using pliers (I believe they were called Channel Locks). I know this because I was standing a foot away from plumber the entire time. Furthermore, we called the manufacturer of the part “Amtrol”, and received a statement from the representative in writing, that in his 29 years of experience with this part and company, he has never seen, nor heard, of a defective air purger. Representative also stated, an air purger is basically a large chunk of heavy metal that water passes through, which are very durable parts. He emailed us this statement, if you need us to provide. In conclusion, the plumber states he was willing to work something out, is completely false. His idea of taking care of the problem was for me to call another plumber and pay to fix his mistake, His accusation of stating I was belligerent is just another excuse to not stand by his work. My wife and I believe he had no intention of coming back because there was no money in it for him. I find it strange that over the years when we’ve called him for work he responded immediately, and showed up that day. When it came time to fix his mistake, he didn’t respond to any of our calls or messages, and was suddenly too busy to come back (regardless of time frame). To end his statement saying “to question my integrity”, is also false, as all three plumbers that came to our home, to look at the issue, were shocked that plumber wasn’t standing by his work. Perhaps the plumber should question is own integrity. [redacted]
