Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,
William [redacted]
Dear Revdex.com,First of all I want to thank the Revdex.com and case handler for their time in trying to resolve this matter. Unfortunately Mr. A[redacted]l has a hard time with the truth, and as I have clearly stated in the past I have no interest in speaking with him as nothing he says can be taken seriously. I also noted that his response to the Revdex.com fails to address the FACT that he never once during the sales process tell my wife or I that the navigation system was an aftermarket Garmin product (confirmed by the Customer Service Rep from Romano) , leading us to believe that the navigation system was a factory installed Mercedes system. As far as his offer to take the vehicle back I asked the Mercedes Corporate Rep to have Mr. A[redacted]l put in writing what I would be getting and what the cost to me would be, Mr. A[redacted]l refused. Already being a victim of Mr. A[redacted]ls deceptive sales practices I was not about to agree to something I had no idea what the cost would be. I also want to be perfectly clear that I at no time called Mr. A[redacted]l and threatened Mr. A[redacted]l with bad media posts, however I did mention to the Mercedes Liasion that I was considering posting my complaint online. I would be willing to speak with a senior member of the Romano Company regarding A[redacted]ls refusal to accept ownership of what happened during this sale, but not until I receive the check for $625.00 I was promised by A[redacted]l. As a retired member of both the US Navy and Law Enforcement if I do not receive my check ( within 10 days) as promised I plan to continue my campaign of telling future customers of my dealings with Romano Motors, this will include lobbying USAA to remove them as a recommended dealer , and writing a letter to all Veterans and Law Enforcement Organizations in the Utica, Syracuse and Rochester areas. I realize that I am a small cog in this situation but I believe people should be held accountable for their actions. Its unfortunate that A[redacted]l considers the truth as a blistering attack, he needs to man up and accept responsibility. Again many thanks for your help.

We sold a vehicle to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] on June 22nd, 2017. There are two different navigation systems available by Mercedes Benz:  A03A SD-Card for GARMIN® Map Pilot Navigation ($625) or a Multimedia Package with COMAND Navi w/ Single Disc ($2,330). When they were negotiating the deal on the vehicle, they stated they wanted a navigation system and if we were to include this in we would have a deal. I agreed to charge them $625 for the SD-Card for GARMIN® Map Pilot Navigation that can be added and I will, in-turn, raise the value of their trade by the same amount to nullify the difference so the navigation will be included in the deal. On the day they were to pick up the vehicle, the subject of how to make the directions go into the navigation system became a topic of conversation. At that time, we knew we had an issue. We gave them the opportunity to switch to another car with the built-in navigation in the ‘car play package’ before they left with that vehicle for the difference in cost. They refused to spend the extra money for the other navigation system. We attempted to show them how to use this Mercedes Benz navigation system and they keep referring to it as ‘aftermarket’.  At that time, I offered them to refund the cost of the $625.00 for the navigation and to give this to them as a goodwill for the misunderstanding, so they would leave completely satisfied. They agreed to the $625.00 check refund (to be processed by our accounting office and mailed at a later date) and took delivery of the vehicle. A few days later, I received a phone call from Mr. [redacted] threatening bad social media posts if I do not take this car back and give them one with the command media system. He even called Mercedes-Benz corporate and complained. I gave him a one-time offer of trading his vehicle for a new vehicle ‘MSRP to MSRP’.  All he would need to do is pay the difference in vehicle value, not even taking into consideration the effect the driven mileage on the vehicle or the fact the vehicle was driving was registered and now considered a pre-owned car, in the interest of making our customer happy. When the corporate liaison called me at the dealership, I also gave him the same offer.  Mr. [redacted] refused. Unfortunately, this offer cannot happen now since so much time has passed and we now we have a model- year change.Once I received a blistering attack on social media, I rescinded my offer of goodwill to Mr. [redacted].  I also rescinded the offer of refunding him the $625 cost of the SD-Card for GARMIN® Map Pilot Navigation, which was never paid for and was included in the deal, as stated above.  Again, the vehicle was sold with a code #03A SD-Card for GARMIN® Map Pilot Navigation that is NOT an aftermarket product but a Mercedes- Benz product. I will speak to Mr. [redacted] about possibly reinstating the offer of refunding the $625 value of the SD-Card for GARMIN® Map Pilot Navigation since they are not 100% satisfied with this product but I will not do soif the social media attacks against me, both personally and professionally, are still posted by Mr. [redacted].
